GoingFor2’s Fight Against Addiction Contest

In November of 2019, my wife’s older brother, my brother-in-law, lost his life-long battle with addiction. After getting clean and staying clean for nearly 14 years, he relapsed in September of last year before an overdose took him from us. 

We are coming up on the one-year anniversary of his death and I wanted to do something to honor his memory. When he first got clean nearly 15 years ago, the rehab facility that played the biggest part was Second Genesis. 

In 2014, the rehab facility was forced to liquidate all of its assets, but as a result, the Second Genesis Foundation was formed and has been able to carry on their mission through funding effective programs focused upon the prevention and treatment of drug abuse among youth and young adults. 

GoingFor2.com, all of our writers, and myself as the founder, have put together a contest intended to raise money to donate to the Second Genesis Foundation and help them with their fight against addiction.

The contest is a Daily Fantasy NFL contest that will be run on DraftKings for the Thanksgiving slate of games. The contest itself is free to join, we only ask that consider a donation, in any amount, to this GoFundMe page.

All of the money raised, minus the fees needed to transfer the money, will go directly to the Second Genesis Foundation.
