Round 9

9.1 Shane, Robert Griffin III

My next pick is RG3 (HTTR). With a healthy RG3 and an upgraded OL, it might be worth giving RG3 a shot on your bench as your backup QB. With outside weapons like a speedy DeSean Jackson, a healthy RG3 has potential to put up some big numbers. It’s a gamble that could end up paying off huge.

9.2 Harrison, Larry Fitzgerald

He is up there in age, but he is still the #1 WR when defenses scheme for the cardinals. He will continue to get his targets even with Michael Floyd‘s stock increasing. Having a QB like Carson Palmer back will play a big role in getting him more touches and targets. His targets went down last season but he is still going to give you points every week.

9.3 Brandon, Rashad Jennings

This pick is a tricky one. I wanted another RB so I chose Rashad Jennings. He had a down year in 2014 but injuries played a role in that. You also have Andre Williams behind him, who had a decent rookie season. While I expect Jennings to start, I wouldn’t be surprised if more of his carries end up going to Williams. But I’m going to go out on a limb and say Jennings will run for at least 1000 yards and 8 TDs. Not bad for Jennings

9.4 Dennis, Tom Brady

Brady came on in the second half of the season in 2014 to throw for 36 TDs and over 4000 yds. While he’s currently suspended for the first 4 games of the season (I fully expect that to be reduced) once he comes back he should be throwing more than last year. NE’s defense won’t be close to as good as they were last season with Revis and Browner gone, so the offense will have to be more productive.

9.5 Josh, Bradon LaFell

My next pick is Brandon LeFell of NE. On a team known for soft balls, he should be able to catch them. Last season he was a decent bye week option, but like everyone on NE, he’s not an every week player. Some weeks he’ll do nothing fantasy wise and other weeks he’ll blow up. As a back up you just have to hope you picked the right bye week to start him.

9.6 Fawad, Zach Ertz

With my pick I select Zach Ertz. He will be in his third year and with all the missing talent the Eagles he will be one of the primary targets for Chip Kelly’s fast paced offense

9.7 Geoff, LeGarrette Blount

Wasn’t planning on taking him, but at this point I can’t ignore the value. I’m taking LeGarrette Blount. Getting a starting RB this late in the draft can’t be passed up, even if it’s the starting RB for the Patriots, a team and coach known to be the Bain of fantasy owners. His one game suspension shouldn’t hurt his value, and I’ll have good depth with him on my bench.

9.8 Dan, Julius Thomas

I’m going with Julius Thomas. Despite him being on the Jaguars now he is still a very athletic TE and a good value in the 9th round. He should be able to be a consistent start at TE every week.

9.9 Anthony, Torrey Smith

Should be the 49ers number one receiver and top depth threat. Smith had 11 touchdowns last year, and at 26 he is in his prime. With Kap’s ability to scramble, that should give the speedy Smith more than enough time to get open and burn defenders. Plus Boldin requires constant double teams. Look for big things in a new place from Smith this year.

9.10 Tucker, Chris Ivory

Expected to be the starter on a team that ranked 3rd in rushing yards last year, and I’m getting him in the 9th round no less.

Round 10

10.1 Tucker, Eric Decker

Back to back Jets? What has this world come to? He is back to his natural position as a No. 2 wide receiver, and as such will not receive “No. 1 receiver” double teams. He will eat up man-to-man coverage.

10.2 Anthony, Devonta Freeman

With Steven Jackson gone Devonta Freeman is the leading candidate to start for the Falcons at RB. He has the edge over Tevin Coleman, and has been getting most of the first team reps in OTAs. He had 248 yards and 1 TD in very limited action last year — but good for second most on the team. He is a great receiver out of the backfield with 30 receptions and a TD in 2014. Look for much more of that this season with the Atlanta’s pass happy offense.

10.3 Dan, Mike Wallace

Coming off an 879 yd 10 TD season I like that I’m getting him in the 10th round. He’s in a new city playing alongside Charles Johnson , Cordarrelle Patterson and hopefully a healthy Kyle Rudolph. Combined that with the return of AP and this should be a very powerful offense surrounding a young Teddy Bridgewater. Wallace has the speed to stretch the field, and it will be hard to double team him without getting shredded by his counterparts. I fully expect him to keep up his production from last year if he gets in some sort of rhythm with Bridgewater, and even if they don’t, he still produced in 2014 despite not being on the same page as Dolphin’s quarterback Ryan Tannehill. This is definitely a steal in the 10th round.

10.4 Geoff, Pierre Garçon

My 10th round pick is Pierre Garçon. People forget he led the league in receptions a few years ago with RG3 as his QB. The good games he had last year were with RG# as his QB, and Jay Gruden has come out and said Griffin is making positive strides in camp. Not to mention Garçon actually had more receptions than DeSean Jackson in 2014. Jackson is the bigger play guy, but Garçon gets the volume. His upside is there as my no. 4 WR.

10.5 Fawad, Darren McFadden

With my next pick I select Darren McFadden. McFadden has been plagued with injuries and the fact that he played for the Raiders. He is now the bruiser and the home run hitter in Dallas ,while I think Joseph Randle will take some of the reps away, McFadden will be their goal line choice and may have a decent year behind Dallas’s tremendous offensive line.

10.6 Josh, Percy Harvin

He usually shines the first year with a new team and is always a threat on special teams to take it to the house. On the offensive side a true deep threat. Not an every week start but good for match ups and subs.

10.7 Dennis, Nelson Agholor

Jeremy Maclin is gone and the door is open for the 20th pick in the draft to step in and establish a major role in the most prolific offense in the NFL. Agholor had 104 receptions and 1313 yds in 2014 with USC, so the potential is there.

10.8 Brandon,Philip Rivers

Every team needs a good backup QB as insurance or trade bait. With my next pick I fill that need with Philip Rivers. He’s thrown for over 4000 yards six of the last seven seasons and has over 30 TDs passes his last two seasons. And if Keenan Allen can stay healthy and Gates keeps drinking from the fountain of youth edit: taking PEDs, another big year could be on the horizon.

10.9 Harrison, Doug Martin

He is penciled in as the starter and is in a contract year. He wants to show everyone that his rookie season wasn’t a fluke and head coach Lovie Smith wants a team that can run. With a rookie QB, he will get his touches running and catching as a hot read for his QB. He wants to get paid so he will handle his business on the field.

10.10 Shane, Owen Daniels

Joining the Broncos with a 3 year 12 mil dollar contract, Owen Daniels is my 12th pick. With Julius Thomas going to the Jags, Daniels may be that one sleeper TE pick this year to make some noise.

Round 11

11.1 Shane, Malcom Floyd

At age 34, Malcom Floyd might be nearing the end of his career, but he will still be a huge target in San Diego. Last year he average 16.5 yds per catch and had 6 TDs. Being my 13th pick, I am willing to roll the dice that could put up serviceable numbers at the WR spot.

11.2 Harrison Marques Colston

With graham in Seattle, Colston becomes the big target in the red zone for Brees. He has been a constant in the Saints offense since his rookie season and will get more targets this season.

11.3 Brandon, Terrance Williams

My next pick is Terrance Williams. Whether Dez signs on time or not (edit: Dez signed), Williams is the #2 receiver on a very good Dallas passing attack. There are games where he disappears, but as a plug and play option he can give you monster games.

11.4 Dennis, Kevin White *mock draft was done before injury

The 7th overall pick in the draft is poised to take over Brandon Marshall‘s X position in the Bear’s offense. After leading West Virginia with 109 rec, 1447 yds and 10 TDs, he should have no problem becoming the starter on a team that will have to throw a lot with such a bad defense.

11.5 Josh, Reggie Bush

Solely because Brandon might have want to have drafted him. Yes I’m that guy. And he’s versatile and blah blah f**k you Brandon and happy birthday.

11.6 Fawad, Cordarrelle Patterson

With my pick I select Cordarrelle Patterson. He ended his rookie campaign like a legitimate starter but followed up his 2nd year unworthy of a starting position. His lack of production was due to the fact that the Vikings most effective weapon — purple Jesus — was suspended most of the year and had a rookie QB under center. Patterson has the God-given ability to take any play to the house, but only if he can improve the mental aspect of route running and the offensive playbook.

11.7 Geoff, Charles Johnson

I’m going with Charles Johnson. For a lot of the same reasons Fawad took Patterson.

  • Adrian Patterson will help the passing game just by his presence alone.
  • I expect Bridgewater to take a good jump in year two.
  • Charles Johnson has been running as the every down X receiver in OTAs.

I’m expecting him to have a good year and will add good depth to my receivers.

11.8 Dan, Allen Robinson

Robinson played in 10 games last year before sitting the rest of the season with a foot injury. He racked up 48 catches for 548 and 2 TDs. Not too bad for a rookie outing. I would rather not have a WR from Jacksonville, but the fact that he is a No. 1 WR makes him a decent backup as he will be getting plenty of opportunities as long as Bortles can get him the ball.

11.9 Anthony, Jordan Reed

With my next section Im taking Jordan Reed. When healthy he is one of RG3’s favorite targets. Heath is his only issue. This offseason he had procedure and is expected to be back by training camp. When he’s out there he produces and is great with YAC. He’s had 45 and 50 receptions his last 2 seasons, with 2013 being his best year by tallying 3 touchdowns. Look for comeback season this year.

11.10 Tucker, Shane Vereen

I’m picking Shane Vereen. He did good things for NE (one of the few RB’s that has good hands and quickness out the backfield) last year racking up 838 yards and 5 TD’s combined rushing and receiving. Vereen should be much of the same for Eli this year.

Round 9 winner: Harrison, Larry Fitzgerald

I’m picking Fitz as one of my bounce back candidates. As long as Carson Palmer can stay healthy, Fitz can still produce.

Round 10 winner: Geoff, Pierre Garçon

I had to give myself a victory eventually. Garçon is Robert Griffin’s favorite target, and he’ll catch more balls than Djax. People are treating Garçon as second fiddle, when in reality it might be the other way around. Love the 10th round value.

Round 11 winner: Dan, Allen Robinson

Love Robinson this year. I love him more in PPR, but he will be good in standard leagues as well.
