There are still plenty of decent options in free agency to make your team better. Don’t get caught being complacent with your current roster. The best managers are always looking for ways to make their team better. Choose the wrong guy and your season is over, choose the right guy and you just might sneak into the playoffs. So put the high waiver rank to good use this week and add some of these guys to make your team better. Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 11
NoHalftime Waiver Add of the Week: RB C.J. Prosise (SEA)
I have been high on Prosise since he was drafted by the Seahawks. I awlays thought he would be a good compliment to Thomas Rawls. Injuries sidelined Prosise early in the season and after a couple of games back he finally looks like he is 100 percent again. He got to start this past week for the Seahawks and did a good job. The biggest area of concern was short yardage, he had a hard time converting last week, but that was not a surprise given his skill set. An area that he shined though was catching passes. He secured all seven of his targets and some of those came on routes ran from a wide receiver spot, so it was not just seven screen passes. Even if Rawls comes back this week he will still get some carries and plenty of opportunities to run routes and make plays in Seattle’s offense. He is currently only owned in 36 percent of Yahoo leagues and I am sure plenty of teams could use a quality running back coming down the stretch and into the playoffs.
QB Sam Bradford (MIN)
Bradford continues to be one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the NFL right now, and is only owned in 13 percent of Yahoo leagues. Under new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, Bradford has been throwing a lot more. Bradford is averaging 31 competitions with 290 yards and 1.5 touchdowns per game since the change. With the run game struggling the passing game has been heating up in Minnesota and Bradford has risen to the challenge. It should be noted that the Vikings do play the Cardinals next week, but after that Bradford schedule is very favorable. Starting week 12 the Vikings play at the Lions, vs Cowboys, at Jaguars, vs Colts, at the Packers, and vs th Bears. None of those opponents have been successful at stopping the pass, which means down the stretch and for fantasy playoffs Bradford could be a good streamer if you don’t have a true number one quarterback.
WR Tyreek Hill (K.C.)
Five of the Chiefs remaining seven games are against teams that struggle to play defense, let alone the stopping the pass. The other two are both against Denver. Hill, who is available in 83 percent of Yahoo leagues, has quickly become the Chiefs big play receiver. He leads the team in plays over 20 yards and touchdowns. As long as Maclin is not 100 percent Hill should see plenty of opportunities. As an added bonus if you get return yardage points, Hill contributes on both kick and punt returns. So even if Maclin comes back soon, Hill should still have a big enough role to contribute solid fantasy points.
Honorable Mentions:
- Ryan Tannehill – 26 percent owned – With a more balanced offense Tannehill has played more relaxed and putting up solid numbers in the process.
- Alex Smith – 25 percent owned – Great match up with the Bucs this week and a mostly favorable schedule the rest of the way. Great QB2 option down the stretch.
- Robert Kelley – 48 percent owned – Appears to have the number one spot locked up for now. Getting 20 plus touches and over four yards a carry, just need to find the end zone.
- Kenneth Dixon – 19 percent owned – Double digit touches the last two weeks and his role should continue to grow each week. Especially in the passing game.
- Michael Floyd – 45 percent owned – The Cardinals do not appear ready to give up in Floyd and neither should you. Currently trending in the right direction, give him another week or two.
- Cameron Meredith – 33 percent owned – With Jeffery getting suspended, everyone is jumping back on Meredith. Stash if you can, but I want to see Cutler use him before I rely on him.
- Eddie Royal – 14 percent owned – I have a funny feeling Royal benefits the most for Jeffery getting suspended. He has a longer history with Cutler
- Tajae Sharpe – 10 percent owned – Seems to be trending up last couple of weeks, with Andre Johnson retiring. The more the offense opens up the better it is for Sharpe.
- Eli Rogers – 10 percent owned – Running away with the WR2 spot and clearly is more trusted than anyone not named Brown or Bell.
- C.J. Fiedorowicz – 20 percent owned – Had a down week last week, but is still clearly the number two target for Brock Osweiler. Should have more good than bad going forward.
- Vance McDonald – 8 percent owned – Still going to be limited by the QB play. That said he is averaging six targets a game in his last three and can break one on any play.
