Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 14

NoHalftime Waiver Add of the Week: WR Tyler Lockett (SEA)

Lockett has spent most of the season nursing a knee and thigh injuries. I think it is safe to say that those are finally behind him. Sunday nights game was by far the fastest I have seen Lockett look all year. He is currently available in over 60 percent of Yahoo leagues and is a must add. The Seahawks finally have Wilson, Rawls and Lockett all healthy and the result is a red hot team at the right time. This week the Seahawks face a Green Bay defense that has not really scared anyone lately. Follows that game up with a couple of tough ones against the Rams and Cardinals, and that might be enough to scare some people off, but both of those games are in Seattle and both of the teams are going in a different direction. Lockett by not be better that the third option in the passing game, but sprinkle in some runs and return yardage if you get it and you have a WR flirting with WR2 numbers down the stretch. The Seahawks will continue to look for ways to get their most explosive player the ball and on an offense that is putting up some pretty awesome numbers that is a good thing. Go get him and start him all the way through your fantasy playoffs.

WR Malcolm Mitchell (N.E.)

Two weeks ago in my waiver wire article I mention that we got a preview of Mitchell’s ability and he was worth a dynasty stash because of Gronk and Hogan were coming back. Well now Gronk is out for the rest of the year and Amendola is nursing a high ankle sprain, which has sped up his use for the Patriots. The Injuries have allowed Mitchell to see 67 of 79 snaps last week that led to eight receptions for 82 yards on 10 targets. I suspect this will continue down the stretch and with over 70 percent availability in Yahoo league, adding a guy like Mitchell could prove to be the best move you can do heading into the playoffs. This week he faces the Ravens who can be beaten through the air. The following week is a tough match up with the Broncos, but in week 16 which is the championship for many leagues he faces a Jets team that has seem to thrown in the towel on this season. I would target Mitchell and consider using him in spots during the playoffs.
