2016 Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire

Here we are entering week four of the NFL season and things are still out of whack for many of our teams. If you are one of the owners that just can’t seem to put a winning team together maybe its time to make some moves. It is still early enough in the season that you can add some players and turn things around, but that window is rapidly closing. You will find plenty of guys here that you can add and start for multiple games this season. So put the high waiver rank to good use this week and add some of the guys and turn your season around. If you have questions regarding players not on this list feel free to hit my up on Facebook at Dynasty League Problems or on twitter @mikekelleydlp for more great information.

NoHalftime

Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 4

NoHalftime Waiver Add of the Week: QB Trevor Siemian (Broncos)

Hats off to HC of the Broncos Gary Kubiak. He started the preseason with three quarterbacks and chose the one that had the worst statical preseason. Two games into the season Trevor was pretty vanilla averaging 10 points a game. He did not hurt the team nor did he do much to help them win. Enter his first road contest against the always tough Bengals and Trevor goes off completing 23 of 35 passes for 312 yards and four touchdowns. If you watched the game or had a chance to see the highlights you will see that Trevor threw some pretty balls in that one. Bye weeks start this week so people might be in the market for a QB and I would say strongly consider Trevor. Over the next three weeks, he faces TB, ATL, and SD all teams that you can throw on. He is only 7% owned in Yahoo leagues so chances are Trevor is available in your league and if you need a QB I would grab now before he has another game like last week.

QB Sam Bradford (Vikings)

Bradford did not light up the scoreboard this past week. But in an offense that he has been running for only three weeks he stood tall in the face of pressure all day from a very strong Panthers front seven. Things will only get better for Bradford as the season moves along. Only 11 percent owned in Yahoo leagues, I would be looking to add Bradford as soon as possible if I was only running with one quarterback. Given the Vikings offense, I don’t think Bradford is going to be putting up top QB1 numbers but I can see him putting up QB2 numbers more often than not. With one of the top your wide receivers in Stefon Diggs and tight end Kyle Rudolph finally playing the way we have been expecting for years now, Bradford has plenty of options and support to help him succeed in Minnesota.

RB Dwayne Washington (Lions)

Waiver wire running backs this year has been slim pickings. Even with a number of backs getting hurt this year, they are not being replaced with backs getting the same work load as the starter. When Ameer Abdullah went down, everyone assumed Theo Riddick would take over as the lead back. Riddick has never been a good early down back and given the chance this past week he failed. He managed nine yards on 10 carries. The Lions also used Washington this past week and he also got 10 carries but managed to turn that into 38 yards against a very tough Packers D. I think we will see Riddick move back to pass catching duties and Washington will handle the early-down rushing attempts. Only owned in 23 percent of Yahoo leagues he is likely available and a must add if you are desperate for a running back.

WR Terrelle Pryor (Browns)

Does the NFL have a new slash? Is he a wide receiver, a quarterback, or a running back? Apparently, he is a little of everything. Pryor did everything he could to help the Browns this past week. If coaches wanted him to throw the ball, he threw it, if they wanted a run the ball, he ran it, if they wanted him to run a route, he ran it. That is what I call a team player. Because he does a little bit of everything he is a must add, and only being owned in 22 percent of Yahoo leagues that means there is a good chance he is available in yours. Even when Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman return, Pryor will still be putting up numbers because of all the different things he can do to stuff a stat sheet. If you have been holding onto the number 1 waiver wire spot I think this is worth use of it. Throw in the fact that he is on a team that should be losing often, which increases the potential for Pryor to be used in many creative ways to help the Browns and your fantasy team score.

TE Kyle Rudolph (Vikings)

If you have been playing fantasy football for a while now chances are at some point you have had Kyle Rudolph on your team and thought this is the year he finally lives up to his hype. We all know how well it worked out for you in the past. Well maybe, just maybe this year is different. Through three games his slash line is 14/1696/2, which is good enough for the number 3 tight end in fantasy right now. Rudolph is currently owned in 43 percent of Yahoo leagues right now so you might have to hurry if you want him. I think you can count on at least 5 receptions for around 60 yards with the occasion TD from here on out from Rudolph. With many of the league’s top tight ends under performing or not even performing at all, looking at you Gronk and Eifert, many people have been looking for a tight end this year. Rudolph is a guy you can add and ride for a long time this year.

The Professor

I have been playing fantasy football since 1991. My first draft I had the first pick and the first player I ever drafted was Randall Cunningham. I remember that because he broke his leg in the first half of the season. Since then I have been hooked on fantasy football and I have not and will not ever draft a QB in the first round again.
