Quarterback
Russell Wilson – While I have some concerns with Seattle’s offense in general, specifically their offensive line, I like Wilson as a buy low. He shouldn’t be too hard to acquire after scoring just one touchdown this season and throwing for fewer than 200 yards in each start this year. Wilson has always started slow, as you can see using the Rotoviz Game Splits App (pictured below). In the second half of the season, Wilson averages almost five more fantasy points per game. I still value Wilson as a QB1, but have moved him into the Ben Roethlisberger/Marcus Mariota tier.

Running Back
Mark Ingram – Ingram hasn’t scored and he’s only logged 14 carries so far this season. The Saints give touches to three different running backs, but I’m still buying Ingram. Adrian Peterson has 14 carries as well, but has just 44 yards (3.14 yards per carry). Ingram averages 4.93 yards per carry. These are small samples, but watching the games, Ingram simply looks like the better runner. While Alvin Kamara is the “receiving back” in the Saints offense, Ingram has nine receptions on ten targets this season, adding PPR value. The Saints haven’t had a solid game script to really run the football yet this year, limiting Ingram’s production. I expect the Saints to find themselves in better situations for Ingram, so I’ll buy him as a solid RB2.

Wide Receiver
Brandin Cooks – Cooks struggled last week on the turf against the Saints which we didn’t expect, but maybe we should have. He was covered by speedy Marshon Lattimore on the majority of his week 2 routes. Cooks is great when he’s the faster player in the matchup, but struggles to produce when his speed is equaled. The Patriots still lack depth at the wide receiver position, so in positive matchups where Cooks has the speed advantage, he’ll still see the volume he needs to be a high-end WR2.

Running Back
Todd Gurley (again, but maybe wait a week) – Gurley had another good fantasy day on Sunday. He scored twice, had over 130 total yards, and averages 23.6 PPR points per game so far this year. I’m still selling Gurley, but may wait a week. He’ll face the 49ers next week, but will run into a tough stretch after that facing the Seahawks, Jaguars, Cardinals, Giants, Texans and Vikings in consecutive weeks. This week (and next week) is the window to sell Gurley. He’s still a high-end RB2, but the matchups will get tougher.
Wide Receiver
Jermain Kearse – Kearse is averaging 17.7 PPR points per game through two weeks and is coming off of a two touchdown game. I’ll acknowledge the Jets will have to pass and Kearse could see volume throughout the season, but he produced 22.4 PPR points on only five targets last week. I don’t want much of the Jets offense this year, so if I can sell Kearse for any other WR2/3, I’ll probably do it.

Tight End
Jason Witten – Witten has scored twice and averages 22.3 PPR points per game through two weeks. He’s faced the Giants defense in week 1, who seem to give up a score to every tight end they play. In week 2, he faced the Broncos who gave up passes over the middle while working to stop Ezekiel Elliott and Dez Bryant. I don’t think Witten will sustain this volume, his touchdown production, or his fantasy point production throughout the season. He scored just 9.52 PPR points per game last season and caught just three touchdowns. Sell if anyone is buying.
