2019 Dynasty Superflex Mock Pt. 2 (Post Draft)
2019 Dynasty Superflex Mock Pt. 2
Alright, welcome to Going For 2’s second super flex mock of the draft season. Tyler Reynolds and I went through 2 rounds and mocked where we believed each rookie should fall in your dynasty drafts. This is great for both new and old dynasty players as it not only allows an opportunity to study how players are falling in draft, but it also allows one to see why we like these players. Tyler and I each made 12 picks across 2 rounds with myself picking 1.01 and alternating from then on. So without wasting any more of your time, here’s pick 1.01.
Picks 1.01-1.06
1.01 QB Kyler Murrayย Cardinals
Kyler Murray is the clear cut 1.01 in Superflex in this year’s draft. He not only will play on what is designed as an explosive offense under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury, but he also possesses the rushing upside of the likes of Russell Wilson. Arizona has also gone out and got this man weapons drafting 4 WRs in 2019. -TM
1.02 QB Dwayne Haskinsย Redskins
With the second pick of the draft you more then likely had a rough go at it in 2018, an ideal situation would be looking at a trade out here but if you need to pick I would go with a quarterback here. Haskins should take over for the Redskins at some point this season if he is not starting by week one. The Redskins revamped the offense in the draft and should be getting key factors back from injury. All of these signs make me lean Haskins in SF format.-TR
1.03 RB Josh Jacobsย Raiders
The top non-QB prospect has been much harder to pick during this offseason, but I have landed on Raiders running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs was used limitedly at Alabama but showed to have the wiggle and power to be successful in the NFL. He will join the Raiders as the clear cut number one back and have a top 20 RB season in 2019. -TM
1.04 WR N’Keal Harryย Patriots
N’Keal Harry is going as high as number one in some rookie drafts that are non-Superflex, so getting him here after the two relevant quarterbacks are off the board is ideal. Should be a day one starter in the pats offense that will have available targets after the retirement of Gronk.
1.05 RB David Montgomeryย Bears
After the Bears traded away Jordan Howard this off-season, this backfield was left with something to be desired. In comes David Montgomery. Montgomery was a standout at Iowa State where he showed great contact balance and an amazing ability to break tackles. While the tacklers will be better in the NFL, Montgomery should have no problem being successful at the next level. To add to Montgomery’s game, he has shown strong hands a knack as a receiver as well making him a true every-down back. Watch out Tarik Cohen owners. -TM

1.06 RB Miles Sandersย Eagles
The Eagles backfield is currently a little full but Miles Sanders is the most talented back they have. Sanders will more than likely split carries but I doubt it will be long before he takes over the vast majority of the load in this Eagles offense.
Picks 1.07-1.12
1.07 WR D.K. Metcalfย Seahawks
If you don’t know who D.K. Metcalf is, I’m not sure dynasty is for you. At 6’3″ 230 lbs, he is unlike anything we have seen in the NFL. Did I mention he also runs a 4.3 40 yard dash? The biggest concern across the dynasty community is if D.K. can get in and out of breaks and from what I have seen so far in film from Seattle camp it looks like he’s going to settle down just fine in a receiving corp that is needing help. -TM
1.08 WR Parris Campbellย Colts
Campbell landed in arguably one of the best landing spots in the draft and should be an immediate underneath weapon in what should be a high powered Colts offense. The upside is huge for Campbell and he will have a safe floor weekly making him a lock for the first round. -TR
1.09 TE T.J. Hockensonย Lions
Hockenson landed with the Patriots of the midwest in what fantasy football players everywhere hope is Gronk 2.0. Hock can block and catch the ball which will keep him on the field in every situation the Lions face this upcoming season and for years to come. Ignore the notion that Stafford doesn’t use TEs because he threw to Brandon Pettigrew plenty.-TM
1.10 WR Marquise Brownย Ravens
Not an ideal situation to land with Baltimore, but there are a ton of available targets in this offense making Hollywood an attractive option as he is now the best receiver the Ravens have.-TR
1.11 WR A.J. Brownย Titans
While people have been concerned with Baltimore for a landing spot, Tennessee might be worse. A.J. Brown was my number 2 receiver coming into the draft and slipped drastically by going to the run-heavy Titans. One thing has me thinking though, the Titans have invested heavily at receiver this off-season and may be looking to spread it around more.ย ย -TM
1.12 TE Noah Fantย Broncos
Tight ends are a premium in fantasy football so might as well sure up your championship roster by adding Fant here. He should see a nice target share and can make an immediate fantasy impact at the tight end position. -TR
Picks 2.01-2.06
2.01 WR Deebo Samuelย 49ers
I love this landing spot. Deebo was already an intriguing prospect with his run after catch ability and his creativeness with his routes. Add in now that he is competing with Dante Pettis and Marquise Goodwin for targets and he has the potential to lead all rookie receivers in 2019. -TM
2.02 J.J. Arcega-Whitesideย Eagles
The landing spot may worry some as the Eagles are already pretty full of pass catchers but may find himself as a number one wide receiver for the Eagles in just a year depending on the Alshon Jeffrey situation. If that all comes to fruition you may have just found yourself fantasy gold with Arcega-Whiteside here. -TR
2.03 QB Daniel Jonesย Giants
I feel sick with this, but picking in the top 3 of the round this team is not looking to compete in 2019 more than likely. You know Daniel Jones will get the chance to start eventually we just don’t know when. In Superflex, any starting QB is worth a first round pick, thus making Jones stock likely to rise in the near future. -TM
2.04 RB Justice Hill Ravens
Mark Ingram is not getting any younger and Justice Hill fits perfectly in the Ravens ultra fast offense. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Justice take over the reins in this offense and be one of the best returns in this whole rookie draft. Mark Ingram is not getting any younger and Justice Hill fits perfectly in the Ravens ultra fast offense. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Justice take over the reins in this offense and be one of the best returns in this whole rookie draft. -TR
2.05 WR Mecole Hardmanย Chiefs
If Hardman falls to this point in your draft, you should be excited because he has been going much sooner with the doubt let in the air by Tyreek Hill. Hardman is fast and will require some work to be successful in the NFL, but if anyone can get that out of him Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes can. -TM
2.06 Andy Isabellaย Cardinals
Larry Fitzgerald, Isabella should pair perfectly with Kyler Murray and get to learn from one of the greatest to ever play the game while being an immediate starter for the Cardinals. Arizona had a desperate need in receiver outside of Larry Fitzgerald, Isabella should pair perfectly with Kyler Murray and get to learn from one of the greatest to ever play the game while being an immediate starter for the Cardinals. -TR
Picks 2.07-2.12
2.07 QB Drew Lockย Broncos
Drew Lock has some work to do in order to see the field. Luckily for the Denver Broncos and fantasy owners alike, Flacco will maintain the starting role throughout 2019 giving Drew Lock adequate time to prepare and adapt. Lock has the highest ceiling of any QB not named Murray in this draft. -TM
2.08 Hakeem Butlerย Cardinals
Butler falls into the same situation as Isabella as he should find immediate playing time. I do not see him being as productive as Isabella in the passing game but will be a nice red zone target for the Cardinals newly revamped offense. -TR
2.09 RB Darrell Hendersonย Rams
Henderson landed poorly in terms of immediate fantasy production, but with question marks surrounding star Todd Gurley, Henderson may actually see a nice workload throughout the season. He also serves as the perfect handcuff or trade bait for that Gurley owner if something happens to Gurley midseason. -TM
2.10 TE Irv Smith Jr.ย Vikings
Irv Smith here late may be gold as signs are pointing to the Vikings possibly moving away from Kyle Rudolph come the 2020 season making Smith the tight end in what should be a premium fantasy offense. Like before mentioned tight ends are a premium so grabbing Irv Smith here late may be gold as signs are pointing to the Vikings possibly moving away from Kyle Rudolph come the 2020 season making Smith the tight end in what should be a premium fantasy offense. -TR
2.11 WR Terry McLaurin Redskins
Drafted by the Washington Redskins out of Ohio State, where did we hear that before. O ya, Dwayne Haskins. These two will have automatic chemistry in the passing game and without much competition in front of him, McLaurin could see some early success in the NFL. -TM
2.12 RB Damien Harrisย Patriots
The Patriots are going to continue using a ton of running backs every year, Harris will be an effective change of pace back in the Pats offense and can be a viable flex starter in your league. -TR
