NFL Player Comparison | Allen Lazard with a ceiling closer to Kenny Golladay

2020 Dynasty Rookie Draft Projection | Late 3rd / Early 4th

Bottom Line

T.J. Vasher can be a dangerous deep threat and red zone option for many teams at the next level. As a former basketball player, he displays his excellent body control with his ability to box out defenders and getting feet down in inbounds. His height and vertical allow him to attack the ball over defenders and make highlight-reel catches. While at Texas Tech, the offense required him to be less technical as a route runner so there is some development to be had.

Vasher did decide to return to school for his senior year instead of entering the draft which may have hurt his stock because the lack of gaudy numbers. He will be a project at the next level, but with the right coaching and system, he could easily develop into a role similar to Lazard. If there is an increase in volume, he could produce numbers similar to Golladay. For me, I am and drafting him as a wait-and-see prospect because of the volatility.

For me, I am and drafting him as a wait-and-see prospect because of the volatility. Although we would have preferred to see more from him this season, I see no issue investing a later pick in Vasher, especially since some of his weaknesses can be overcome by hitting the weight room.
