A quarter of the regular season is over. Teams are beginning to find their identities, and fantasy players have learned who can and who can’t be trusted. We have a large enough sample size now to determine if a player busting or booming is a trend or an aberration. Keeping this in mind, we should take a look at some players going into week 5 of the fantasy season, and see which can safely be given another chance and who can be dumped.

Keep’em
 Hollywood Brown, (Ravens) 90% owned ESPN
Brown had a monster first week of the season and while he hasn’t dominated like that since then, his target share has been fantastic. He has seen 16 targets in his past two games, and while he hasn’t gotten a ton of yardage, the opportunity and skill are still there. Lamar Jackson hasn’t been connecting with him as much over the last couple of games and has poor accuracy overall. Last week, Brown was second on the team with seven targets but couldn’t get much going against Cleveland. Jackson may not improve upon his accuracy, but you should keep Brown, as he is getting more points per game than some established fantasy names. Hold and he will reward you with a huge week coming up.
Mohamed Sanu, (Falcons) 35% owned ESPN
A phrase the sums up Sanu the best would probably have to be a high floor player. His ceiling is limited, but he’s averaging six targets a game and has been good for at least flex starts every week this season. The Falcons’ offense has struggled running the ball, leaving the passing game to do the heavy lifting. Sanu was Atlanta’s most-heavily involved target against Tennessee, and he should remain involved in the passing game going forward. He has had at least four catches while averaging 10 yards a catch, and thats without scoring any touchdowns so far. Hold on Sanu and insert him into your lineup if you are tired of the high variance scoring of more noteworthy options.
Cut’em
Nelson Agholor, (Eagles) 54% owned ESPN
There is one death knell when it comes to being a wide receiver in the NFL, and that is dropping passes. Agholor dropped a potential game-winner in the game against the falcon in week 3 and followed that up with only 1 target and no catches in the game against the Packers. He’s got some tough matchups coming up and the return of WR Desean Jackson is looming. The emergence of the Eagles favoring 12 personnel with Dallas Goedert and the return of Alshon Jeffery healthy have combined to make Ags an afterthought. Carson Wentz seems to have lost trust in his slot receiver, so don’t expect any huge games going forward. He will not see anywhere near the same opportunity as his two-touchdown performance from Week 3.

Kirk Cousins, (Vikings) 29% owned ESPN
Kirk Cousins completed 27 of 36 passes for 233 yards, no TDs, and no INTs in the Vikings’ 16-6 loss to the Bears on Sunday. The completions, attempts, and yards were all season highs for the QB, which should spell trouble for his owners because it wasn’t all that good of a game. Cousins also fumbled twice in the face of relentless pressure from Chicago and got sacked six times in the afternoon. This lead to a miserable day fantasy-wise for him. He’ll take on a much less daunting defense next week in a road game against the Giants, but don’t expect better numbers, as Minnesota will want to go back to running the ball and using Dalvin Cook as the focal point of the offense. it seems he is in a no-win situation, as even when he is forced to pass, he does not do well. Adam Thielen even called him out after the game against the Bears, and that can only spell trouble in the locker room going forward.
