What’s up guys! We’re back for this 11 game MLB slate for Wednesday, May 17th, 2017!
The Tigers haven’t been the dangerous offense us DFS players have come to know and love this year, but they still have some serious fire power, especially now that J.D. is back. Ubaldo is on the bump and he is still one of the favorite gas cans to target bats against in DFS. He comes into this game with a 6.15 ERA and historically the Tiggers have had a lot of success against him(Victor, Miggy, J.D. Jose Iglesias all have .320+ against him) Lot of nice cheap options in a Detroit stack tonight.
The Stack: Collins, Martinez, Cabrera, McCann
The Brew Crew come into tonight’s matchup with the most home runs in the major leagues at 65(next closest is WASH with 60) Even without Braun, there is a lot to be scared of from a pitcher’s perspective in Milwaukee’s lineup. They have dealt with alot of injuries but have still found production from their bench(Sogard, Aguilar, Santana) Not only do the Brewers get to face Chacin and his 5.12 ERA, but San Diego has the worst bullpen in the N.L. ( 5.41 ERA) Like the Tigers, most all Brewers are cheap, so it leaves room for adding a couple studs and top tier pitchers too.
The Stack: Aguilar, Villar, Perez
The Cubs actually have a below average offense so far in 2017, but it’s still the Cubs and now with Ian Happ I really like their lineup against right-handed pitching. Feldman has had a solid season so far, but he still has blow up potential. He gave up 7 earned runs to a terrible Pirates offense earlier in the year and 5 earned runs to the Brewers. Feldman has been pitching over his head so far this season, I’m feeling a regression game here in Wrigley with wind blowing out.
The Stack: Rizzo, Happ, Schwarber, Bryant
There aren’t many stacks I like tonight, I think even some of the lower tier pitchers tonight like Hahn, Biagani, Marquez could have good games, but I like a couple batters in the Phillies lineup. Aaron Althur is smoking the ball right now and may represent Philly in the ASG this year, and Cesar Hernandez is a solid option tonight at just $3900. They are taking on Andrew Cashner, I think this lineup could get to him early and the Texas bullpen is still one of the worst in the Majors.
The Stack: Altherr, Hernandez, Joseph
