What up guys! 10 games on the evening slate, so let’s check out a few teams to target when stacking your lines for Wednesday, May 24th.

New York Yankees

The Yankees as a team lead the Majors in On-base percentage, 2nd in runs scored, and have hit the most home runs in the MLB. Jason Hammel has never been a good pitcher at the Major League level, unless he’s wearing a Cubs uniform for some odd reason(Seriously look up his stats in Chicago vs. anywhere else he’s pitched.) He comes into this start with a 6.20, 1.75 WHIP, and a 1-5 record as a member of the Royals. His pitches just aren’t fooling anyone and he’s not missing bats(just 0.76/K an inning) The Yanks are at home in the glorified Little League field that is Yankees stadium, pretty chalky, but you gotta have a few Yanks bats tonight in NYC.

The Stack: Judge, Gardner, Ellsbury, Gregorius

Chicago Cubs

mlb dfs

I’ve talked about Matt Moore’s splits before…2.57 ERA at home and an abysmal 8.68 on the road…this is no fluke, not sure what it is but Moore just can’t get it done away from AT&T Park. Several Cubs have had success against lefties this year…Bryant, Happ, Jay, Contreras all .300+ AVG aginst south paws this year. An interesting tidbit about this match up…is that not a single Cubbie on the active roster has ever faced Matt Moore before…not once, so BVP fans we have no gauge on how he might fare from past match ups. It may take a few innings for Chicago to get a feel for him, but they should crush Moore with wind blowing out in Wrigley.

The Stack: Bryant, Happ, Schwarber, Contreras

Boston Red Sox

Really interesting line from Vegas in this one…8.5 run O/U AND Chris Sale is on the bump…aka Vegas thinks this will be a 7-2 game Red Sox and that’s honestly probably exactly what will happen. The Sox haven’t been the same high powered offense that led the Majors in runs last year(I think it truly has to deal with Big Papi not being there) Boston gets lefty Martin Perez and they haven’t seen a lot of lefties this year, but when they have they have had success…. .348 OBP against lefties this year as a team. Lot of Sox have had success against Perez in the past and Texas’ bullpen is still horrendously bad, so I like a mini-BOS stack tonight at Fenway tonight.

The Stack: Betts, Young, Bogaerts

Houston Astros

Besides Fulmer, Daniel Norris came into last year as Detroit’s top prospect, but he has been way too inconsistent this year and you never really know which Norris you’re going to see. He will give up 5 runs to the Athletics, then next start out will 2-hit the Indians..idk baseball’s weird. Either way, Norris is giving up hits and walks left and right this year(1.72 WHIP & batters have a .381 OBP against him) Houston is the hottest team in baseball right now and their lineup is predominately right-handed, so although it will be a very chalky night, Houston can put up runs quickly too.
