DFS MLB FanDuel Cash Lineup Advice 08/22/2017

Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the MLB Fanduel Cash Game Article. Tonight we have nearly full, 14 game slate. As always, please make sure you check the weather and the team lineups as they are released. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my favorite cash game options for tonight on FanDuel.

Pitcher

Chris Archer TB: $10,200 vs. TOR
My favorite cash game option for tonight is Chris Archer. Archer has been outstanding at home this season with a 2.54 FIP and a 12.21 K/9 in 13 starts at Tropicana Field. Archer will face the Blue Jays for the fourth time this season and he had a quality start in each of his first three starts against them.

Lance Lynn STL $8,000 vs. SD
If you are looking to load up on bats tonight, consider dropping down to Lance Lynn at only $8,000. Lynn has been pretty consistent since the All-Star break pitching exactly six innings in each of his six starts and earning a quality start in each one. Tonight he has a great matchup against the Padres, who rank near the bottom of the pack in wOBA and wRC+ against right-handed pitchers.

Catcher

Gary Sanchez $3,500 @ DET
If you are spending up at catcher tonight, then Gary Sanchez is your guy. Sanchez has been great against left-handed pitchers this season with a 0.353 wOBA and a 0.286 ISO. Tyler Boy had struggled against opposing right-handed hitters this season, allowing a 0.370 wOBA.

Alex Avila CHC $2,800 @ CIN
With Willson Contreras still sidelined with an injury, Alex Avila continues to draw the bulk of the starting catching duties for the Cubs. Avila had a huge hit on Sunday walking the game off with a two run single. I really love the Cubs’ bats tonight against Homer Bailey, who they just tagged for six runs this past week up at Wrigley.

First Base

Anthony Rizzo CHC: $4,500 @ CIN
If will be tough to squeeze in Anthony Rizzo if you use Archer, but if you use Lynn then you can probably do it. Rizzo has seen Bailey quite a bit over the course of his career. In 28 plate appearances against Bailey, Rizzo is hitting 0.381, with two home runs and two doubles.

Logan Morrison TB: $2,900 vs. TOR
If you want to save some salary at first base then Logan Morrison is a viable option. Morrison has been outstanding against opposing right-handed pitchers with a 0.360 wOBA and a 0.277 ISO.

Second Base

Jonathan Schoop BAL: $3,500 vs. OAK
Jonathan Schoop is having a great season and he just belted 27th home run of the season last night. Schoop has been solid against right-handed pitchers this season with a 0.365 wOBA and a 0.214 ISO.

Yoan Moncada : $2,800 vs MIN
If you’re looking for value tonight at second base, consider using Yoan Moncada. Moncada is off to a slow start in his time at the MLB level, but the White Sox are going to continue to deploy their young star and will probably continue to put him second in the batting order. Tonight he has a great matchup against Kyle Gibson, who has allowed a 0.378 wOBA to opposing right-handed hitters.

Third Base

Kris Bryant $4,300 @ CIN
Another Cubs’ hitter who we can definitely use tonight is Kris Bryant. Similar to Rizzo, it may be hard to fit him in your lineup if you spend up and use Archer, but you should be able to use one of Rizzo or Bryant if you decide to drop down and use Lynn.

Jose Ramirez CLE: $3,100 vs. BOS
Someone who is a little more affordable and who can be paired with Archer is Jose Ramirez. Ramirez has been excellent against opposing right-handed pitchers with a 0.380 wOBA and a 0.238 ISO this season.

Shortstop

Tim Beckham BAL: $3,500 vs. OAK
Tim Beckham has been red hot since coming over to the Orioles from the Rays. The Orioles continue to use him in the leadoff spot and I really like the Baltimore bats tonight against Paul Blackburn.

Eduardo Escobar MIN: $2,700 @ CHW
Value is not great at the shortstop position tonight, but if you want to go value here then Eduardo Escobar may be the best option. Escobar’s numbers do not jump off of the paper, but he normally hits sixth in a Twins’ lineup that can be potent. I think Lucas Giolito will be a fine MLB pitcher at some point, but I think he will struggle in his first start for the White Sox.

Outfielders

Kyle Schwarber CHC: $3,500/Ben Zobrist CHC:$3,100 @ CIN
A couple of more Cubs’ bats who we can use tonight are Kyle Schwarber and Ben Zobrist. As I mentioned before, it will be tough to fit Rizzo or Bryant into your lineups if you use Archer, but if you want some Cubs’ exposure with Archer you can do so with Schwarber and Zobrist.

Adam Jones BAL: $3,000 vs. OAK/ A.J. Pollock ARI: $3,200 @ NYM/ Josh Reddick HOU: $3,300
There are a handful of mid-priced outfield bats who we can consider tonight. Adam Jones, A.J. Pollock, and Josh Reddick all normally hit in a premium spot of the order and all three have great matchups tonight.

Cameron Maybin LAA: $2,300 vs. TEX
If you’re looking for a cheap outfielder tonight, then consider using Cameron Maybin. Maybin returned to the leadoff spot last night against the Rangers after spending some time on the disabled list. You really cannot beat this price for a leadoff hitter who has an outstanding matchup against Tyson Ross tonight.
