DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup Advice 12/3/16

Today will just be some quick hitters. No time for in-depth, stat driven analysis. Most of these picks were taken off my spreadsheet. It’s still beta, but I hope to be releasing it in early 2017. Good luck tonight…

NBA DFS Legend

Nothing But NetMy top plays of the night at his position.
DunkA Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.
Half-Court ShotOtherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player.
Blocked Shot A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.”

**Main Slate

Point Guard

Nothing But Net | Eric Bledsoe $8,100 @ GS

DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 12/3/16Man, I hate putting Bledsoe as my top play, but all the metrics say this is a good spot for him. The spreadsheet I created and have been beta testing to great success over the last few weeks (soon to be released to the public) has Bledsoe as the top PG on the night. He is probably more GPP for me, but numbers don’t lie.

Dunk | Rajon Rondo $5,900 @ DAL

If anyone read my FanDuel advice column on FantasyPros.com yesterday, I predicted a triple double for Rondo last night and he delivered on that prediction. Tonight he has a matchup with his old team the Dallas Mavericks. He said on the post-game interview from last night’s game that he wants to win this game more than others. His price didn’t budge. He is easily the best value on the slate.

Half-Court Shot | Andrew Harrison $4,300 vs LAL

His price has gone up some since he was moved into the starting lineup after Mike Conley‘s injury, but it hasn’t gone up to the point he is unplayable. The Lakers do not defend either guard position particularly well, so look for Harrison to continue to put up decent numbers.

Blocked Shot | Dennis Schroder $5,900 @ TOR

He is on the second night of a back to back, most of his points last night came in junk time after not playing well early, and he has a matchup with one of the better defenders in the league in Kyle Lowry. There is nothing to like about Schroder tonight.

Shooting Guard

Nothing But Net | DeMar DeRozan $8,900 vs ATL

I’m not worried about the back to back with DeDe. They won last night in blowout fashion and he only played 29 minutes. His price is still sub 9k and the Hawks are good enough to keep this game close, despite the fact they just got blown out by the Pistons.

Dunk | Klay Thompson $6,000 vs PHO

I don’t really like any of the mid-tier options at shooting guard tonight, but if you are looking for some upside, Thompson can get hot at any time and start nailing threes. He typically plays better at home and he is priced pretty well at only 6k.

Half-Court Shot | Brandon Knight $4,300 @ GS **GPP Only

Outside of DeRozan, there isn’t much I feel confident about at the shooting guard position, including my choice for H-CS. Knight is extremely volatile and could put up eight of go off for 40. He won’t find his way into any of my cash lineups tonight, but he is worth a look for GPPs.

Blocked Shot | Dwyane Wade $6,900 @ DAL

The back to back is what has me worried about this one. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wade sits this one out. The Bulls can beat the Mavericks with him.

Small Forward

Nothing But Net | Kevin Durant $10,500 vs PHO

DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 12/3/16Durant has been the only Warrior you can trust night in and night out so far this season. There is the potentially blow out factor here, but when isn’t there a blowout factor when rostering any Warriors player. Durant can get to 50 FanDuel points in three-quarters so he is still the top option at small forward.

Dunk | Gordon Hayward $7,900 vs DEN

How good has he been since returning from injury? He just dropped 50 FanDuel points last night and now he gets the Nuggets who can’t defend the small forward position.

Half-Court Shot James Johnson $5,000 @ POR

With all the injuries the Heat have, if Johnson is once again forced into big minutes, his $5,000 price tag will not scare me off of him with this great matchup.

Blocked Shot | Wilson Chandler $6,300 @ UTA

Never play anyone against the Jazz. Simple as that. Their pace of play and great defense makes anyone hard to trust.

Power Forward

Nothing But Net | None

Draymond Green is the only top option as far as price, and I don’t like him in this spot, so there is no top-tier play I like tonight at power forward.

Dunk | Taj Gibson $5,800 @ DAL

Gibson has been one of the more consistent big men in the NBA, and while his ceiling is limited, he has one of the highest floors in fantasy.

Half-Court Shot | JaMychal Green $4,700 vs LAL

As long as Zach Randolph and James Ennis remain sidelined I like Green as a good value at power forward. He isn’t going to be a world beater for you, but he will give you some solid fantasy production. Tonight he gets a great matchup with the Lakers.

Blocked Shot | Draymond Green $8,000 vs PHO

$8,000 is a lot for a guy that is probably the fourth scoring option on his team. Yes, I know he gets rebounds, steals, and assists, but at 8k there are better, cheaper, options.

Center

Nothing But Net | Marc Gasol $7,100 vs LAL

Gasol is finally starting to look like the player he was last year before his season ended abruptly with an injury. Couple that with all their injuries and he has become an elite option in fantasy lately. They have no one else to run their offense through so his usage for a center has been off the charts of late.

Dunk | Mason Plumlee $6,000 vs MIA

Four straight games over 30 FanDuel points and a matchup with the Lakers. Yes, please!

Half-Court Shot | Jahlil Okafor $4,400 vs BOS

Joel Embiid will likely sit this game as the second game of a back to back, leaving Okafor to carry the load. He is a steal at $4,400 against one of the worst teams at defending the center position. I’m expecting a solid double-double from him tonight, like 18-and-12.

Blocked Shot | Dwight Howard $7,800 @ TOR

I’m only putting Howard here because I hate rostering him. I have no other reason than that.
