DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 4/20/18
I’m putting up this column a little bit earlier than normal and all the games are still being played as I write this. So far, my advice yesterday has proven to be pretty good. Mirotic is balling in the first half, Dragic balled in the early game. A few other ones that are doing pretty good so far as James Johnson, Rondo and my “super punt” Ian Clark has 5 Fanduel points in the first half, which isn’t great, but maybe he will do enough to play in the second half as well. By the time you read this, you will know the answer to that question.
Similar to last night I won’t have time to do an in-depth analysis of every pick, but I assure you, the research is sound. Let’s get started…
Point Guard

Nothing But Net | Kyle Lowry $7,800 @ WAS
I really wanted to go John Wall here, but his price tag is a bit too steep on a night where there isn’t a ton of value and you have LeBron James on the slate. Lowry played better in Game 2 than he did in Game 1, and I think he will build on that game and have a breakout in Washington.
Dunk | Terry Rozier $7,800 @ MIL
With three players all at $7,800, Rozier gets this by default, but his play on the court has been nothing short of spectacular. Kyrie who? Okay, I won’t go that far, but this kid has come into his own at the right time.
Half-Court Shot | Delon Wright $4,600 @ WAS
With the Raptors up two games to none and Wright playing as well as he has, there is no reason to rush Fred VanVleet back. As long as Wright continues to play well, he should get the minutes.
Blocked Shot | Eric Bledsoe $7,800 vs BOS
This is more about him being priced the same as Lowry and Rozier. I prefer both of them over Bledsoe at the exact same price.

Shooting Guard

Nothing But Net | Victor Oladipo $9,800 vs CLE
Oladipo is the hometown hero and coming back to Indiana with the series tied 1-to-1, he will play some inspired basketball in this game. Despite his down Game 2, he had a ridiculous 42 percent usage rate, if he comes anywhere close to that in Game 3 he could put up 55 FanDuel points.
Dunk | Bradley Beal $7,800 vs TOR
Bradley has played better at home all season and tonight will be no different. The Wizards have to have this game if they hope to have any chance to make this a series. Bradley will step up tonight, and will likely be low-owned because of his play in Game 1 and 2.
Half-Court Shot | Kyle Korver $4,000 @ IND
As long as we get word that he is starting again, Korver is in play. Any time you can get a shooter playing 30-plus minutes at $4,000, you do it.
Blocked Shot | Malcolm Brogdon $4,500 vs BOS
I’m still not sure what his role in this offense is and I don’t think the coaches know either. At $4,500, he is just too expensive to take the risk.
Small Forward

Dunk | Otto Porter Jr. $5,600 vs TOR
Much like Bradley, Porter is a much better player at home. In fact, he averages a full four FanDuel points more per game at home than on the road. That’s one of the largest home/road difference for any starter in the entire league.
Half-Court Shot | OG Anunoby $3,500 @ WAS
I’m not really sure why he is still minimum salary after two straight games in which he went over five-times value, scoring 18-plus Fanduel points in both games. Whatever the reason, I’ll be glad to roster him again at $3,500.

Power Forward

Ibaka is looking like the Ibaka that played in Oklahoma City a few short years ago and not the guy that shot one too many three-pointers. He has five blocks over the first two games of this series and was one rebound short of having two straight double-doubles.
Dunk | John Henson $5,500 vs BOS
After six blocks in the first game, he only had one in Game 2, but his offensive game picked up in the second game putting up 12 points and four assists. He doesn’t have a high ceiling, but his floor is good at his $5,500 price/
Half-Court Shot | Jabari Parker $4,000 vs BOS
Can the squeaky wheel get greased in the playoffs? We will find out in Game 3 as Parker expressed his frustration with his lack of playing time. The Bucks have to play like a desperate team if they are going to get at least one win in this series. A desperate team needs to give Parker more minutes.
Blocked Shot | Markieff Morris $6,300 vs TOR
Living in the D.C. area as I do, Morris is one of those players that seems to play without any sense of urgency at the most inopportune times. Game 3 down o-2 is as about as inopportune as they come.
Center
