DFS NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/1/16

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 4/1/16

What’s up guys? I’m a little short on time today, so I’m going to leave the narrative out today for all my call-outs. I’m hoping, later on, today I’ll be able to come back to fill everything in. We have a huge slate today, and I’m sure as news breaks a ton of value will open up, but as it sits right now there are the guys I like for today… updated with narrative

Game Winner My Game Winner will be my top play for the position.

Dunk A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.

Half-Court Shot Otherwise known as a “punt play”.

Pass A player deemed a Pass is someone I’m avoiding — or “passing” on.

Point Guard

Game Winner John Wall @ PHO $9,600

The Wizards just have to accept this as a lost season. They are not a playoff team and they only have pride left to play for. After getting embarrassed by another bad team last night (Kings), Wall will have to put the team on his back to beat the Suns.

Dunk Ish Smith @ CHA $6,800

Smith wasn’t great against the Hornets in the last game, but I’m expecting a bounce back tonight. Before playing the Hornets on 3/29, Smith had two straight 40-plus fanduel point games, that’s what I’m expecting tonight.

Half-Court Shot Shane Larkin @ NY $3,900

At $3,900, to hit five times value he needs to score 20 points, something he has done in five straight games. The Knicks are a good matchup for Larkin. I could see him going over 30 fanduel points tonight.

Pass Rajon Rondo vs MIA $7,700

Everyone is looking at Rondo’s last game verse the Heat when he had 50 fanduel points. I’m not buying it. The Heat are coming off an embarrassing loss to the lowly Lakers, there is no way the Heat don’t put the defensive clamps on the Kings. With no Boogie, the Heat will concentrate their efforts on Rondo. I mean, who else do the Kings have that can beat them? Rudy Gay? Ha!

Goingfor2 728x90 2Shooting Guard

Game Winner Dwyane Wade @ SAC $7,700

Speaking of the Heat, how good has Wade been in the last few games? He has two straight games in which he flirted with 50 fanduel points, and he put up 43 against the Kings the last time they played. I’m going to set the over/under at 40 fanduel points and I’m taking the over.

Dunk Brad Beal @ PHO $5,900

Some of the Wizards’ issues this year are because Beal can’t stay healthy. There was talk here in Washington that they might give Beal a max contract. For Wizards fans, I hope that is not the case. From a DFS perspective, though, him being constantly in and out of the lineup has brought his price down to a very playable range. This will be a high paced game with very little defense being played. High exposure to this game is recommended.

Half-Court Shot Courtney Lee vs PHI $4,300

Normally when you get to the $4,000 range, you have to worry about playing time. Not with Lee.The fewest amount of minutes he has received over his last ten games is 26 — with a high of 37. Minutes don’t always equal production, but lately with Lee it has. Five of his last six games he has gone over 20 fanduel points, and tonight he gets to play the team that always helps pad your stats, the Sixers.

Pass Lance Stephenson vs TOR $6,000

His price hasn’t come down enough for me to risk it. The Grizzlies are relatively healthy and that limits his upside.

Small Forward

Game Winner Nicolas Batum vs PHI $8,100

Batum just put up 49 on the Sixers and now he gets the same team but at his house this time. Look for another 40-plus fanduel point night from him.

Dunk Robert Covington @ CHA $6,500

Since coming back from injury, Covington hasn’t had fewer than 30 fanduel points and had a high of 35 against this same Hornets squad just a few short days ago.

Half-Court Shot Hollis Thompson @ CHA $4,600

This game is a good game to target. I think I’ve mentioned at least half a dozen players from this game and each one is a good play. Thompson is a little riskier than the others, but at $4,600, he won’t hurt you too much with a sub-par game.

Pass Giannis Antetokounmpo vs ORL $9,200

Raise your hand if you have been burned by him over the last few games. Yeah me too.

Power Forward

Game Winner Draymond Green vs BOS $8,600

The Celtics’ frontcourt is bad. Real bad. Draymond Green is good. Real good. That is all.

Dunk Tobias Harris vs DAL $6,300

Harris may have the smallest gap between his floor and his ceiling of any player in the NBA. His floor is like 29 and his ceiling is like 30! Okay, so maybe not that small, but you can plug him in and feel confident in about 30 fanduel points.

Half-Court Shot Derrick Williams vs BKN $3,600

This is only if Kristaps Porzingis sits this game out. Williams is capable of filling up the stat sheet, especially against the Nets.

Pass None

Center

Game Winner Hassan Whiteside @ SAC $8,700

He may be my top play on this slate. Either him or John Wall. Both of their prices offer a ton of upside. Whiteside could easily put up 50 fanduel points, and with DeMarcus Cousins out, he shouldn’t have to worry about foul trouble.

Dunk Marcin Gortat @ PHO $6,400

I don’t love a lot of the mid-tier options, but Gortat represents the best of what’s available. It’ll be a high paced game with a lot of shots put up, so Gortat could grab double-digit rebounds.

Half-Court Shot Kosta Koufos vs MIA $3,900

Yes, it is a tough matchup, but the sheer volume and his price tag almost guarantee he will hit his value tonight.

Pass Karl-Anthony Towns @ UTA $8,800

The Jazz are upset they lost to the Warriors after having them on the ropes. The Timberwolves are good for releasing some of that frustration.

The 6th Man (other plays I like)
