DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup Advice Saturday 11/5/16

Tonight’s article will be in a new format I’ll use on nights when I’m limited on time. I’ll still give you four tiers of players, but my writeups will be in  a quick-hit fashion. I also won’t be writing up every player, just the ones I think need explaining. Good luck today…

NBA DFS Legend

Nothing But NetMy top plays of the night at his position.
DunkA Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.
Half-Court ShotOtherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player.
Blocked Shot A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.”

Nothing But Net Plays

Point Guard

Russell Westbrook vs MIN $11,800

Westbrook is angry after getting shown up in Oakland last night, the Wolves will feel his wrath. They have no one that can stop him — then again, who does?

Kyrie Irving @ PHI $7,800

Shooting Guard

James Harden @ ATL $11,700

There will be no defense played in this matchup between Harden and Schroder — advantage Harden.

Small Forward

Kawhi Leonard vs LAC $8,500

This is more of a gut call than a stat driven pick. The Spurs are at home against a Western Conference contender in the form of the Clippers, Leonard will show up to play.

Power Forward

Paul Millsap vs HOU $8,300

The Rockets are allergic to defense. They rank as a bottom five team against power forwards allowing 48.68

Kevin Love @ PHI $7,500

Center

Dwight Howard @ ATL $8,300

Third night in a row we have a big name player that changed teams in the offseason squaring off against his former team. This one is in Atlanta, but Howard still has something to prove.

DeMarcus Cousins @ MIL $9,700

Dunks

Point Guard

Dennis Schroder vs HOU $5,900

As I mentioned above, there will be no defense played in this point guard matchup with Harden and $5,900 is a good price for Schroder.

Shooting Guard

Evan Fournier vs WAS $6,000

Bradley Beal @ ORL $5,300

John Wall has already been ruled out for this game, and anytime Wall has been out Beal’s usage goes through the roof. At $5,300, he is near a must play.

Small Forward

Aaron Gordon vs WAS $5,900

The Wizards were among the worst in points allowed to opposing small forwards last year giving up nearly 46 FanDuel points per game. They look better on paper so far this year, but it’s more about their competition than actual defense. Otto Porter didn’t suddenly become a good defender.

Power Forward

Tobias Harris vs DEN $6,400

Taj Gibson @ IND $5,900

Center

Nikola Vucevic vs WAS $7,500

Half-Court Shots

Point Guard

Sergio Rodriquez vs PHI $5,100

Kris Dunn @ OKC $4,900

Tomas Satoransky @ ORL $3,500

With John Wall ruled out, he makes for a great punt at the minimum salary. He’ll see an uptick in minutes and only needs 15 FanDuel points to hit value.

Shooting Guard

None

Small Forward

Tony Snell vs SAC $3,800

Power Forward

Dario Saric vs CLE $4,100

Center

Joel Embiid vs CLE $4,800

Even in limited minutes, he has been worth the money. GPP Only**.

Tristan Thompson @ PHI $4,700

Blocked Shots

Point Guard

Chris Paul @ SA $8,800

Paul typically struggles against the Spurs and there is no reason to think he won’t struggle in one.

Shooting Guard

Zach LaVine @ OKC $6,000

Small Forward

Rudy Gay @ MIL $7,300 *Listed as Doubful Now

He is here for no other reason than he screwed me the other night. Started the first quarter with 14 FanDuel points, finished the game with 20!

Power Forward

None

Center

DeAndre Jordan @ SA $7,000

Like Chris Paul, Jordan struggles against the Spurs.
