DFS NBA FanDuel Starting 5 Lineup Advice 2/24/18

Well, last night did not go well for me. I had 100 percent exposure to Jimmy Butler and some exposure to Blake Griffin. It happens. The great thing about NBA DFS, you can go back at it the very next night.

Tonight we have a very manageable six-game slate on the docket, with the big matchup between the Warriors and the Thunder. That game alone should make tonight very interesting.

I’m not going to waste any time tonight, so let’s get to it…

NBA DFS Legend

Nothing But NetMy top plays of the night at his position.
DunkA Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.
Half-Court ShotOtherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player.
Blocked Shot A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.”

Guards

Nothing But Net | Russell Westbrook $16,500 @ GSW

DFS NBA FanDuel Starting 5 Lineup 2/24/18

It’s hard not to have Westbrook as my No. 1 play at guard tonight. I haven’t attempted to build a lineup with him yet, but if you can fit him without giving up too much you have to it. Westbrook was one rebound and one assist away from a triple-double when they met earlier in the month and he put up 65.5 FanDuel points on them in their first meeting this season.

Dunk | Zach LaVine $12,500 @ MIN

LaVine beat his old team a few weeks ago en route to a 47.5 FanDuel point night, but that was in Chicago, this game will be in Minnesota. You know that if he wanted to stick it to the Wolves in the first game, he really wants to stick it to them in Minnesota. The Wolves will likely be without Jimmy Butler, their best wing defender, which should allow LaVine to do whatever he wants to his old mates.

Half-Court Shot | Cameron Payne $8,000 @ MIN

Payne played 20 minutes in his season debut on Thursday and posted 23.9 FanDuel points. With the Bulls giving their younger guys more minutes to see what they have as they start to look to next year, Payne should start seeing more minutes as he gets a few games under his belt. I’d expect him to play around 25 minutes tonight, giving him plenty of minutes to pay off his minimum salary price tag.

Blocked Shot | Stephen Curry $14,500 vs OKC

Curry has not fared well in these matchups. I don’t know if it was because he was deferring to Kevin Durant because it was his old team, but with all the firepower in this game, Curry isn’t the one I want exposure to.

Honorable Mentions: Damian Lillard $15,000, Andrew Wiggins $11,000,

Forwards

DFS NBA FanDuel Starting 5 lineup 2/24/28

Nothing But Net | Paul George $14,000 @ GSW

In two games against the Warriors this season, George has averaged over 56 FanDuel points. What is even more impressive is the 5 steals per game he has averaged against them in those two games. One thing the Warriors do a lot of is turn the ball over, and George has been able to take advantage of that. This will be a high-scoring game and you will want to have exposure to it, George may be the cheapest way to do it.

Dunk | Bobby Portis $12,000 @ MIN

THe forward position is very shallow tonight, and I think Portis may be a little overpriced, but witht he lack of forwards on the slate he is a decent mid-tier option. He put up 49,6 FanDuel points just a few nights ago, and while I don’t expect that again, he can get you 30-to-35.

Half-Court Shot | David Nwaba $9,500 @ MIN

As I mentioned earlier, the Bulls are giving their younger players more minutes to “see what they have”, which is code word for “we are tanking”. Nevertheless, Nwaba is reaping the benefits of tanking… I mean evaluating talent. He played 33 minutes in his last game putting up 39.8 FanDuel points. There is no reason to think he won’t get 30-plus minutes again tonight and at 9.5K, he is a steal.

Blocked Shot | Draymond Green $13,500 vs OKC

Green, like Curry, has not played well in this matchup. I both games they have played, he barely went over 30 FanDuel points in either.

Honorable Mentions: Michael Beasley $11,500 vs BOS, Taj Gibson $10,500

Centers

DFS NBA FanDuel Starting 5 lineup 2/24/28

Nothing But Net | Rudy Gobert $13,000 vs DAL

The Mavericks lack a true center and are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league. Gobert will have a field day on the glass, and with his blocks, steals and scoring, he should easily hit value tonight.

Dunk | Steven Adams $12,000 @ GSW

Adams has owned the Warriors even dating back to when Durant was still with the Thunder. They just don’t have anyone that can match his physically down low and with the Thunder getting him more involved on the offensive side, he could have a strong double-double in this game.

Half-Court Shot | Kyle O’Quinn $9,000 vs BOS

I don’t really like any of the cheap options tonight, but if you insist on paying down, O’Quinn is your guy. He won’t play a ton of minutes, but he is very efficient with the minutes he does play. The Celtics defend the center position fairly well, but at $9,000, O’Quinn doesn’t have to do much.

Blocked Shot | Karl-Anthony Towns $15,000 vs CHI

I don’t really hate KAT, I just think he is too expensive for this slate. Priced at $15,000, I just can’t see myself being able to afford him with the Warriors and Thunder on the slate tonight.

Honorable Mentions: Enes Kanter $12,000
