Top Pitching Options
Clayton Kershaw (DK – $12200, FD – $11000) – It shouldn’t take much analysis here – Kershaw is the best pitcher in baseball, and while his numbers haven’t been up to his level this year, he still has a strong 2.54 SIERA and 30.0% strikeout rate. The Braves are one of the worst teams in baseball against LHP with a 0.274 wOBA (27th) and 22.0% strikeout rate (22nd). Kershaw is pitching at home and should have a huge day.
Jacob deGrom (DK – $10000, FD – $9700) – deGrom has been great this year with a 3.33 SIERA and 23.8% strikeout rate. Just like Ck, deGrom has a great matchup against a Phillies team that seriously struggles against RHP. While they have a decent 19.5% strikeout rate, they have a league worst 0.275 wOBA. He’s a big favorite at -200 and makes a great option if you’re looking to fade Kershaw.
Top Hitting Options
Josh Donaldson (DK – $4600, FD – $3700) – Longoria and Donaldson were the top options at 3B yesterday and if you chose the former, Donaldson made you pay with his 23 point DK day (2 H, HR, 3 R, BB). Don’t make the same mistake again of fading Donaldson as his matchup is even better today. The Blue Jays face John Danks who has a 4.75 SIERA on the year and gives up a 0.398 wOBA to RHH. Donaldson has a 0.521 wOBA and 0.333 ISO vs. LHP and is the 5th most expensive 3B on the day.
Adrian Gonzalez (DK – $3900, FD – $3800) – His numbers have been down a bit lately and he hasn’t hit a home run since May 5, but at under $4K on DraftKings Gonzalez’ price is too low to ignore. He still has a 0.456 wOBA and 0.285 ISO vs. RHP on the year. You have to consider him at 1B.
