EPL: Obscure Must-Have Fantasy Selections and the Growing Importance of Analysis

Typically, many people consider the Premier League’s best players to be must-haves in any fantasy team, however, that’s not always the case. While selecting the likes of Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, Sergio Aguero, and Virgil van Dijk are likely to secure consistent points, it’s the more obscure additions that are going to ensure that you top your league comes the end of the season.

As a result, we’re going to look at some of the more obscure players that should be included in your fantasy team.

Who to Pick?

Anwar El Ghazi

After gaining promotion with Aston Villa in the summer, the 24-year-old winger has enjoyed a bright start to life in the Premier League. As the Dutchman costs a reasonable sum across many fantasy platforms, he could be the difference for many players. In seven appearances, one coming from the bench, the former Ajax man has scored two goals and provided three assists. With the likes of Jack Grealish, John McGinn, and Wesley around him, there is potential for the winger to contribute to at least 15 goals throughout the season. With that being said, at his current rate, the 24-year-old is on course for involvement in 25 goals. While that may seem unlikely, it does highlight the impressive start that the Dutchman has made.

John Lundstram

Another under-the-radar selection from one of the newly-promoted sides is John Lundstram. On some fantasy football sites, the 25-year-old is regarded as being a defender, which makes his inclusion even more intriguing. Despite being deployed as a central midfielder in Sheffield United’s opening eight matches, the versatile Liverpool-born player has scored once thus far, while also providing one assist. However, it’s not his creativity that makes him an option to consider. Along with the possibility of being involved in a goal, Lundstram’s Sheffield United have kept the joint-most clean sheets in the league, meaning that the prospect of bonus points is a real possibility.

Popularity of Analysis

Because there are so many players to choose from across a wide range of sports, the growth of fantasy analysis sites has made the selection process easier for participants. Platforms such as Fantasy Pros and Mathematically Safe provide suggestions on must-have picks from one game week to another. Moreover, while the emergence of such advice-based sites has emerged to assist with Premier League fantasy platforms, the service has also become popular in other sports such as the NBA and NFL.

Furthermore, analysis sites are now central to the approaches of other industries such as insurance and transport. From Compare The Market to MoneySuperMarket, it’s clear that the integration of data-centered websites has become essential in supporting online users in resolving their dilemmas. Additionally, this method has expanded into the online casino sector, with websites such as Bonus Finder providing a comprehensive guide to the best online casinos. At present, the hottest new casino to arrive in Canada is Wildz Casino, for example, which offers users free bets and personalized welcome bonuses across classic and modern video slots, along with traditional table games such as baccarat, blackjack, and roulette.

Choose Your Selections Wisely

As the Premier League’s star players are likely to be selected by most users, they won’t make that all-important difference. Through browsing some of the popular analysis sites and opting for players such as Anwar El Ghazi and John Lundstram, competitively-priced players can offer any fantasy team an obscure route to success.
