The organization that fielded a World Championship team in Smite is looking to expand the organization into League of Legends. Epsilon has announced that they will be merging with EU Challenger Series team Inspire Esports for the upcoming summer split and the merged squad will be competing under the Epsilon banner.

Inspire Esports is a team that finished the regular season in 3rd place but were pegged to be the number 2 seed coming into playoffs due to their 2-0 victory against regular season powerhouses, Millenium. The team had a 3-1-1 record going into playoffs and looked well on its way to qualifying for the promotion tournament until they dropped their series against Team Huma 2-3. However, this split, Inspire Esports will most likely go under a new name and new look which should propel them to the promotion tournament this round about.
The roster is going to keep their mid laner Sofyan “Cozq” Rechchad, top laner Max “Satorius” Günther and AD carry Pawel “Woolite” Pruski. Along with these three player, Inspire has decided to also replace their jungler and support player with LCS Experience like Thomas “Kirei” Yuen and Lewis “Noxiak” Felix.
Kirei recently played in the NA LCS under the banner of Dignitas where he and his team finished 10th place and were relegated out of the LCS while Felix has played under MeetYourMakers in the EU LCS 2015 Spring split for 6 games and in the EU LCS 2016 Spring Split where he shared games between both Fnatic and Roccat for the entire season. While they did not find much success in LCS, both were on teams that were either a relegation level team or were struggling to mesh together which resulted in poor seasons. Both players are low to mid tier LCS caliber players who’s experience from the LCS should improve the mechanical and shot calling of this 3rd-4th Challenger series squad.
Epsilon/Inspire will compete alongside all of the playoff teams from the EU Challenger Series last split as no team was able to qualify for the LCS due to Riot getting rid of auto relegation. Alongside the four playoff teams Epsilon,Huma,Copenhagen Wolves and Millenium will be two teams from the Open qualifier.
A team that was already good at the macro game should become even better with LCS Experience combined with mechanical prowess. Expect this team to qualify for the 2017 Â EU LCS Spring Split under their new banner Epsilon Esports.
