This week kicks off with another division battle. The 2-6 Cleveland Browns come into hostile territory, to take on the 7-0 Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Football:TNF Sit/Start Week 9

Cleveland Browns

The Browns season has gone pretty much as expected, they come into this game struggling on offense and at stopping the run. They only have one player that I’m starting every week and that’s the TE Gary Barnidge.

START

Duke Johnson JR-RB

The Bengals are going to come out and score points this week. The Browns are going to find themselves trailing and throwing a bunch. This means that their receiving back, Duke Johnson Jr,?should be the most involved RB in this backfield.

SIT

Robert Turbin-RB

He has a bunch of talent, but, could never seem to carve himself out a role anywhere he went. We are seeing more of the same here, his inability to make anything happen has basically rendered him useless. Until he shows us something we can’t feel good about starting him.

Isaiah CrowellRB

There are too many mouths to feed in this backfield. He really only has an advantage over the other backs in short yardage situations. He is the least talented back in this backfield and I’m not expecting a whole lot from him moving forward.

Brian Hartline-WR

I know he is coming off a good week where he scored 2 touchdowns, but, this offense isn’t going to have any consistent producers at the WR position. They have a bunch of JAGS and I guess they will all have at least one day in the sun. The Bengals rank 11th against WRs this year, it’s a miss match when you compare this secondary to this WR group.

Cincinnati Bengals

Everything seems to be going the Bengals way. They even found a way to win last weeks game with their offense looking less than good. At this point, Andy Dalton, A.J Green and Tyler Eifert are all every week starts.

START

Jeremy Hill-RB

I know it’s been a headache to own him this year. The truth is, this passing game has been so hot that there really hasn’t been a chance to develop the running game, because, they are running over offenses.

I’m expecting the Bengals to be leading most of this game, in turn, they will be grinding the clock out late, by keeping the ball on the ground. Jeremy Hill will be the back they use to wind down the clock.

The Browns have been ineffective at stopping RBs this year. They have allowed the 4th most fantasy points to the position this year.

Giovani Bernard-RB

There will be more than enough love to go around, in this backfield, during this game. I would expect most of Bernard’s damage is going to come in the early portion of the game, before the Bengals start blowing out the Browns. I’m expecting a decent PPR performance, bolstered by a few carries on the ground.

SIT

Marvin Jones-WR

Marvin Jones is a talented player and the offense he plays for is potent. However, the fact is, only so many players can eat in a NFL game. With each and every player in the Bengals offense finding success in this one, someone has to be the odd man out.
