Fantasy Football: Week 11 Cut’em or Keep’em

It’s time once again GF2 fans for my weekly Cut’em or Keep’em players! Week 11 is quickly approaching and the waiver wire becomes even more key to your fantasy glory. There are a lot of players out there who I’m on the fence about this week on whether or not we should drop or keep them. From Bills’ receiver Sammy Watkins to Melvin Gordon, there is a plethora of players who we need to make a decision on this week!

So, here’s my Week 11 Cut’em or Keep’em players:

Sammy Watkins, Bills WR

Watkins is owned in 85.2 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. I haven’t been the biggest advocate of Watkins this season for fantasy purposes, but he keeps showing us all glimmers of hope. Yes, he’s coming off a bad Week 10 TNF game, but he also paid a visit to Revis Island that night. This season, Watkins has caught 22 balls (33 targets) for 329 yards and three scores. Here’s the thing I like most about owning him going forward, though, his upcoming games are absolutely beautiful for your fantasy playoffs! Watkins will be facing off against weak defenses in the Texans, Redskins and Cowboys during your potential fantasy Super Bowl run!

Verdict: Keep’em

Donte Moncrief, Colt WR

Moncrief is owned in 73.5 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. All of the Colts players will be affected by the loss of quarterback Andrew Luck, but Moncrief’s value has greatly dropped following the injury. In 2015, he has caught 39 passes (66 targets) for 429 yards and five touchdowns. All five of those touchdowns have come in games that Luck started in. Without his starting quarterback, Moncrief quickly becomes fantasy irrelevant going forward.

Verdict: Cut’em

Davante Adams, Packers WR

Adams is owned in 70.9 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Coming into this season, I was a firm believer that Adams was going to be the man in Green Bay. With star receiver Jordy Nelson injuring his knee in the preseason, Adams was primed for a breakout campaign. Unfortunately, he has had an injury riddled start to the 2015 season, but he’s finally healthy and ready to perform. This year, Adams has caught 27 receptions for 272 yards and no touchdowns. Over the past two weeks, though, he has seen roughly 30 total targets, making him ultra-valuable going forward for this Packers squad.

Verdict: Keep’em

Melvin Gordon, Chargers RB

Gordon is owned in 81.9 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Prior to the 2015 season, Gordon was thought to be the next big thing at the running back position for us fantasy fans. His rookie campaign has been greatly underwhelming with him rushing the ball 114 times for 413 yards and zero touchdowns. The Chargers offensive line has been decimated with injuries this year, which kills any chance of Gordon having a productive season. In a PPR league, I’d much rather own Danny Woodhead over Gordon any day, he’s a guy who is highly undervalued.

Verdict: Cut’em

Willie Snead, Saint WR

Snead is owned in 67.9 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Snead leaped into the fantasy world early on this season, but he’s sort of fizzled out rather quickly. In Week 10 against a porous Washington secondary, he failed to record one reception. In 2015, Snead has caught 41 receptions (63 targets) for 626 yards and three scores. Snead does still contain fantasy value going forward, though, with a weak fantasy playoff schedule coming up. Snead will face off against teams such as the Lions, Buccaneers and Jaguars during your potential fantasy playoff run.

Verdict: Keep’em
