Fantasy Football Week 13 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense
Week 13 brings the merciful end to bye weeks on the 2016 NFL schedule, with the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns idle. Streaming options are worth seeking out this week, with the playoffs coming, and here are your Week 13 streamers at quarterback, tight end and team defense.
Quarterback: Ryan Fitzpatrick, New York Jets, vs. Indianapolis Colts (Monday Night)
Yahoo! Ownership: 16%
There’s not a lot of competition for the title, but Fitzpatrick’s Week 12 performance against the New England Patriots (269 yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions) is one of his best games this season. Jets’ head coach Todd Bowles has already said Fitzpatrick will start in Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts, so he has a chance to build on last week.
The Colts have allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season (19.7 per game; ESPN scoring), with multiple passing touchdowns allowed in eight straight games and in nine of 11 contests thus far.
Indianapolis are in line to get some notable defenders back from injury next Monday night, but it’s not like they’ve had a great defense no matter who’s on the field. Fitzpatrick is the next signal caller in line to take advantage, and he’s a nice streamer for Week 13.
Others To Consider: Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers, at Chicago Bears; Sam Bradford, Minnesota Vikings, vs. Dallas Cowboys (Thursday night); Alex Smith, Kansas City Chiefs, at Atlanta Falcons; Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams, at New England Patriots; Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos, at Jacksonville Jaguars
Tight End: C.J. Fiedorowicz, Houston Texans, at Green Bay Packers
Yahoo! Ownership: 35%
Since Week 4, Fiedorowicz has averaged 4.6 receptions, 6.9 targets and 52.8 receiving yards per game over eight games. He has zero touchdowns in three games since Houston’s Week 9 bye, but Fiedorowicz has overcome an inept quarterback for long enough now to be a worthy fantasy tight end.
The Green Bay Packers held Zach Ertz (three catches for 36 yards) and the Philadelphia Eagles’ tight ends (six catches for 46 yards) in check in Week 12, but they have still allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to the position this season (8.4 per game; ESPN standard scoring).
Fantasy owners haven’t quite latched on to Fiedorowicz, surely due to Brock Osweiler‘s play under center. But he gets plenty of targets, and against the Packers, there’s a ton of upside as a streaming tight end this week.
Others To Consider: Colby Fleener, New Orleans Saints, vs. Detroit Lions; Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens, vs. Miami Dolphins
Team Defense: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, @ San Diego Chargers
Yahoo! Ownership: 6%

Since their Week 6 bye, the Buccaneers’ defense has at least two sacks in five of six games and they’ve forced 14 turnovers over that span. A Week 13 road trip to take on the San Diego Chargers doesn’t seem favorable on the surface, but let’s take a closer look.
Over their last five games, opposing defense/special teams units have scored three touchdowns against the Chargers. They’ve also allowed at least three sacks in three of those games, and quarterback Philip Rivers has thrown nine interceptions (seven in two games) over that five-game stretch.
There aren’t a lot of great streaming defense options this week, and the crutch of whoever plays the Browns is not available. On those premises, the Buccaneers stand out, and they are my streaming defense for Week 13.
Others To Consider: Philadelphia Eagles, at Cincinnati Bengals; Baltimore Ravens, vs. Miami Dolphins; Green Bay Packers, vs. Houston Texans
