Fantasy Football Week 15 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense
Before getting into my Week 15 streamers, let’s review Week 14. (Yahoo! PPR scoring, four points per passing touchdown).
Quarterback: Josh Allen-20.34 points
Tight End: Ian Thomas-16.7 points
Team Defense: Buffalo Bills-4 points
Now, as you hopefully have something to play for in your fantasy football league, here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 15.
Quarterback: Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals
Carr went 25-for-34 for 322 yards and two touchdowns against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14, as he extended his interception-less streak to eight games. He also has multiple touchdown passes in three of his last four games heading into a good matchup in Week 15.
The Cincinnati Bengals have been better lately, but they’ve still allowed the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season (21.8 per game; ESPN scoring). Three of the last five quarterbacks they’ve faced have put up less than 16 fantasy points (ESPN scoring). but five straight quarterbacks have not gotten to 30 pass attempts against them.
From Week 1-Week 8, seven quarterbacks had at least 35 pass attempts against the Bengals and six of the eight had multiple passing touchdowns. The only one of the aforementioned seven who didn’t top 300 yards or throw multiple touchdowns was Ryan Tannehill, who suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder in that Week 5 game.
Carr has more than 30 pass attempts in 11 of 13 games this season, and the Sunday’s game has the potential to be a back-and-forth, fairly high-scoring, affair. Efficiency and volume is a solid formula, and Carr edges out the other candidates as my top quarterback streamer for Week 15.

Others To Consider: Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos (Saturday night); Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions; Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts; Nick Mullens, San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks; Josh Rosen, Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons
Tight End: Vernon Davis, Washington Redskins at Jacksonville Jaguars
Davis had four catches (on four targets) for 31 yards against the New York Giants in Week 14, along with a two-point conversion. Jordan Reed also left the game with a foot injury, and it’s possible he’ll miss the rest of the season. So Davis is now on the fantasy radar.

It’s not a great matchup for Davis in Week 15, as the Jacksonville Jaguars are in the middle of the pack against tight ends (ESPN PPR scoring). But they are top-10 in the league against every other position, and Davis is sure to see ample targets from Josh Johnson.
In 10 games Reed missed last year, Davis averaged 5.2 targets, 3.1 catches and 39.4 yards per game with at least 9.7 PPR fantasy points six times.
Davis at least nine PPR fantasy points five times this season, with inconsistent usage and Reed missing zero games to this point. So based purely on opportunity, apart from who’s throwing passes his way, I’m going with Davis as my tight end streamer for Week 15.

Others To Consider: Ian Thomas, Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints (Monday night); C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Oakland Raiders
Team Defense: Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions
I had the Bills’ defense in this space last week, and they disappointed by allowing 27 points with no sacks and two takeaways against the New York Jets. But I’m jumping right back in this week, with a good matchup coming.
The Detroit Lions scored just 10 offensive points against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, and Matthew Stafford has now thrown for less than 250 yards with zero or one touchdown pass in five of his last six games. The list of missing pieces in Detroit’s offense, via injury (Kerryon Johnson, Marvin Jones) or trade (Golden Tate) has been noteworthy, and Stafford has been sacked multiple times in five of the last seven contests.
Playing a dome team at home in December should only help Buffalo’s defense succeed in Week 15, and Stafford also took 16 sacks over the Lions’ two road games prior to last week. All signs point to a rebound here, and the Bills are my team defense streamer again this week.
