Free DFS NBA Fanduel Advice for Sunday 3/6/16

What’s up! I’d like to thank Jared Fox and Matt Sandell for filling in for me over the past few days. I’ve been sick with the flu since Wednesday and haven’t been able to write much. I also had to cancel one of my podcasts, but I’m feeling better and ready to talk some DFS!

As I write this, my lineups from last night are slowly creeping up into cash. If you missed it in my last post, we are on Instagram now. I’m posting one or two lineups a day on there. You can follow me @DFS_GoingFor2.

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 3/6/16

Game Winner My Game Winner will be my top play for the position.

Dunk A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.

Half-Court Shot Otherwise known as a “punt play”.

Pass A player deemed a Pass is someone I’m avoiding — or “passing” on.

Point Guard

Game Winner Damian Lillard (POR) @ DET $9,400

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/6/16For today’s slate, I think I’ll be fading both Russell Westbrook and Stephen Curry as I don’t think there is enough good value to fit them in without sacrificing too much. So the next best play has to be Lillard. Coming off a huge 57 fantasy point effort against the Raptors, he should have no trouble with the Pistons. I don’t expect another 50 point game, but high 40’s is a reasonable expectation.

Dunk Goran Dragic (MIA) vs PHI $6,700

Three straight 35-plus fantasy point games and a matchup with the Sixers is all you need to know.

Half-Court Shot Shaun Livingston (GS) @ LAL $3,900

This pick is based on the assumption that the Warriors will use this cupcake matchup to rest Curry, and if that happens Livingston becomes the only true point guard on the team, meaning he will get a ton of minutes. Any point guard getting a ton of minutes against the Lakers is bound to get some fantasy points.

Pass Stephen Curry (GS) @ LAL $10,900

As I mentioned above, I think this will be a rest game for Curry. Even if it isn’t, I doubt he plays in the fourth quarter with the Warriors up big.

Shooting Guard

Game Winner Khris Middleton (MIL) vs OKC $7,900/ DeMar DeRozan (TOR) vs HOU $7,800

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/6/16I couldn’t decide between these two guys so I went with both. Middleton has five straight games with 35-plus fantasy points and in a matchup with the high-paced Thunder, he should be able to do it again. DeDe, on the other hand, has three games with 37 or more and gets a great matchup with James Harden.

Dunk Devin Booker (PHO) @ MEM $5,100

Booker has quickly becoming a DFS plug-and-play value, and even though his price is creeping up, he is still a good value at $5,100. The Grizzlies aren’t the defensive team they used to be, and even if they were, Booker gets enough volume on a bad team to still hit value.

Half-Court Shot O.J. Mayo (MIL) vs OKC $3,500

This one is probably more of a full-court shot, but Michael Carter- Williams has already been ruled out for this game, meaning Mayo should get the start again. Admittedly, that hasn’t meant much over the past few games, scoring just 12 and 17 fantasy points with 30-plus minutes over his last two games, but that has to change eventually — right? I find it hard to believe that a player getting 30-plus minutes as the starting point guard can’t find a way to crack 20 fantasy points.

Pass NONE

Small Forward

Game Winner Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) vs OKC $8,700

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/6/16Two of his last three, and three of his last six games, Alphabet has gone over 60 fantasy points. At $8,700 you have to love that! His upside is the highest of any player on this slate and is locked in as a must-start!

Dunk Tobias Harris (DET) vs POR $5,800

He has become Mr. Consistent in a Pistons uniform. You can pretty much pencil him in for 17/7/3 in every game. Put your calculator down, that’s about 28-29 fantasy points per game. Against Portland’s soft defense you can book it.

Half-Court Shot Robert Covington (PHI) @ MIA $5,400

This guy has the largest gap between his ceiling and his floor in terms of fantasy points. He is the exact opposite of Tobias Harris. He can give you 40 fantasy points and just as easily give you 8. Both of which he has done over his last 10 games. With two straight games of 30-plus and a matchup with the team he just dropped 39 on, he is worth the risk. GPP only!

Pass NONE

Power Forward

Game Winner Draymond Green (GS) @ LAL $8,600

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/6/16He is the only power forward on this slate with 50 fantasy point upside, so by default he gets the top spot. I’m not too worried about the blowout factor here, as Green will typically play enough minutes in a blowout to hit value. Just double check to make sure the Warriors don’t decide to rest him.

Dunk Julius Randle (LAL) vs GS $6,200

This pick and the next pick are junk time picks. Randle has been good recently and is starting to show promise. In this high paced game he should easily be able to rack up another double-double, even if it comes with a good amount of junk time.

Half-Court Shot Brandon Bass (LAL) vs GS $3,700

Junk time special.

Pass Dirk Nowitzki (DAL) @ DEN $6,600

Don’t really hate Dirk here but I don’t love him either. So I’m passing.

Center

Game Winner Hassan Whiteside (MIA) vs PHI $8,600

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/6/16He just dropped 48 fantasy points on them in the last game and it’s not unreasonable to think he can do it again.

Dunk Alex Len (PHO) @ MEM $5,800

Man, what a game he had last time out. A whopping 51 fantasy points! This is a bit of a tougher matchup but Len should still be able to put good numbers to hit value.

Half-Court Shot NONE

Pass Dwight Howard (HOU) @ TOR $8,000

He ruined my cash lineup last night, so he is on my list to avoid tonight.

The 6th Man (other plays I like)
