Free DFS NFL Fanduel “Cash” Lineup Week 6

It’s been awhile since I have put up one of my lineups since I have been gearing up for the NBA season, but I’m all caught up with the background stuff so I thought I would do a quick lineup column for everyone. My cash lineups thus far this year have cashed every week except for Week 5. My Matt Ryan/Julio Jones stack pretty much killed any hope for that lineup. This week I think I’ve put together a pretty good cash lineup, and feel confident that it should cash in all 50/50’s and double ups. You could plug this lineup into a GPP (tournament) as well, but I don’t have the optimism of cashing in a GPP with this lineup. So let’s get to it..

Free DFS NFL Fanduel “Cash” Lineup Week 6 (Sunday 10/18 & Monday 10/19)

QB Carson Palmer @ Steelers ($8,000)

The Steelers give up 1.8 passing touchdowns per game so far this year which is tied for sixth worst. Only the Browns, Bills, Chiefs, Bears and Saints are worse. That stat stands out even more when you consider that Colin Kaepernick, Nick Foles and Joe Flacco are among the QB’s they have faced. Palmer only has one game this year in which he did not have at least two TD’s, Week 4 against the Rams, but in that game he also had 352 yards passing, his highest total so far this year. Palmer is a top five fantasy QB going against a bottom tier defense. He is great cash game QB that won’t break the bank.

RB Dion Lewis @ Colts ($7200)

There are only two RB’s averaging more FanDuel points per game than Dion Lewis — Le’Veon Bell and Chris Ivory. I’m expecting the Patriots to be passing a lot in this game being that this will be the “deflate-gate” revenge game for Tom Brady. They are going to want to really put it on the Colts this week and show them, deflated footballs or not, the Colts are not on their level. Being the passing down back I expect Lewis to out touch and out snap LeGarrette Blount. Keep an eye on his status though as he is listed as questionable, but I’m expecting him to play.

RB Charcandrick West @ Vikings ($6200)

Expect West to be highly owned, but that’s okay in a cash lineup. He is probably the best value at running back this week, as the new lead back in Kansas City now that Jamaal Charles is out for the season. He hasn’t really shown us much yet this season, but volume he should receive now should make him more than viable. I expect Knile Davis to get some touches in this game as well, so that may limit West’s value, but at $6200 West only needs 12 points for a good Return on Investment (ROI). In an Andy Reid offense West will catch a ton of balls on screens, and has the skill and speed to break one for a long gain. The Vikings defense is giving up 110 yards per gameon the ground this year, fourth worst in the league. His price tag allows you to afford to have a well-balanced lineup, which is what you’re looking for in a cash game.

WR DeAndre Hopkins @ Jaguars ($8500)

Hopkins hasn’t had less than 11 targets in a game all year, has three straight games over 100 yards receiving, including two straight over 150, … and he gets to play the Jags this week. What’s not to love about this?

WR Julian Edelman @ Colts ($7900)

Normally I don’t recommend a WR/RB stack like I have in this lineup, but I’m expecting Tom Brady to throw the ball 50-plus times in this game, there will be plenty of targets to go around. Edelman is a pure volume guy and may not get into the end-zone this week, but he is the best volume guy in the NFL and is playing in a game where there will be a ton of passes. I’m expect Edelman to get 10-15 targets in this game.

WR Allen Robinson vs Texans ($6700)

Robinson has been somewhat boom or bust thus far this season. His “Booms” have come against very weak secondaries. The Texans fall into that “weak secondary” group, and as long as the Jags can keep Tannehill upright Robinson should be in for another good week.

TE Antonio Gates @ Packers ($5500)

Because Gates played on Monday night in Week 5, FanDuel did not have the chance to adjust his price after his huge two touchdown performance against the Steelers. The Chargers will have to throw a lot to keep pace with Aaron Rodger’s and company, and if Rivers is throwing a a lot, Gates will get a ton of targets, especially on third down and in the red zone.

K Steven Hauschka vs Panthers ($5000)

The Seahawks and Panthers games have typically been low scoring games with the exception of the last game. Since neither team’s offense looks particularly explosive, this one could come down to the kickers. Hauschka, at home, on turf is pretty much money in the bag. Expect at least one 50 yarder in this one.

Defense Denver Broncos @ Browns ($5000)

You can afford pretty much any defense with this lineup. I’m choosing to go with the best scoring fantasy defense in the Broncos against a Browns team, though better than expected, aren’t very good. Expect the Broncos defense to get at least three turnovers, give up very few points, and potentially get a defensive TD.
