Free NBA DFS DraftKings and FanDuel Lineup Advice 3/5/16

Start your Saturday off right with free NBA fantasy advice from your pals here at @TopShelfDFS! Let’s check out tonight’s 8 game slate!

Point Guards

Chris Paul $9,500 vs. ATL

CP3 is averaging 57.3 fantasy points/game over the last week and a half, yet DraftKings has actually lowered his price tag from $9,900 to $9,500 tonight against Atlanta. With Blake Griffin out, the Clippers really don’t have many other viable options on offense, in their last game against OKC, three of their starters, Paul Pierce, Jeff Green, and J.J. Redick combined for 21 points on offense…Chris Paul is carrying the Clippers, averaging close to 20 shot attempts/game and he hasn’t had less than 43.5 DK points in a game since February 7th.

Ricky Rubio $6,300 vs. BKN

The last two games, Brooklyn has given up 55.5 DK points to D’Angelo Russell and last night gave up 48 DK points to Emmanuel Mudiay(career high), so tonight it’s Ricky’s turn. It’s no surprise that tonight’s highest O/U is BKN-MIN at 214 combined points, so there’s going to be no shortage of scoring for both teams. The Nets give up an average of 104 PPG and the T-Wolves give up 105.3 PPG to opposing teams. In their first meeting this season, Rubio had 15 assists and four steals for a total of 41 fantasy points.

Sneaky GPP Play- Shelvin Mack

Shooting Guards

James Harden $10,500 @ CHI

Free NBA DFS DraftKings and FanDuel Lineup Advice 3/5/16Shooting guard is the toughest position to gauge in terms of fantasy production, if you can recall a couple weeks Jamal Crawford was 70% owned in cash games and scored just 1 fantasy point on FanDuel against the Suns. Harden is doing everything in his power to make sure the Rockets actually make the playoffs this season and it’s showed as he’s averaging 58 fantasy points/game over his last 5 contests. Harden is taking a head turning 24.2 shot attempts/game(along with about 10 free throw attempts/game) Considering what he’s been doing over the last few weeks, $10,500 is a steal tonight against the Bulls(Be careful Jimmy Butler is back)

Sneaky GPP Play- Evan Turner

Small Forwards

Paul George $8,100 @ WAS

Free NBA DFS DraftKings and FanDuel Lineup Advice 3/5/16

When making lineups yesterday, Paul George’s $8,100 price tag caught my eye and so I decided to give him a look and he exploded for a season-high 67.75 fantasy points. The Wizards have been awful at defending small forwards all year, as they give up the 6th most fantasy points to opposing SFs. In his two matchups with Washington this season, PG13 is averaging 53 DK points/game and at $8100 tonight he only needs about 40 fantasy points to hit value.

Shabazz Muhammed $4,200 @ BKN

We’ve been confused on why Shabazz hasn’t gotten more playing time all season, and it looks like coach Sam Mitchell is finally starting to take notice. Over the last three games, Shabazz has put up 31.75, 21.75, and 25.75 DK points. Mitchell is starting to give him a lot more minutes and he hasn’t disappointed. Shabazz has an excellent matchup tonight against Markel Brown and Bojan Bogdanovic. This game could get out of hand pretty quickly, which means more playing time for Shabazz in garbage time.

Sneaky GPP Play- Corey Brewer

Power Forwards

Gorgui Dieng $6,300 @ BKN

A lot of people forget, Dieng and Shabazz were traded straight up for Trey Burke…It’s safe to say Minnesota got the better end of that deal. Dieng had an excellent month of February and has earned the starting job in Minnesota. Dieng’s best game of the season came against Brooklyn, scoring 20 points, grabbing 10 boards and dishing out 3 assists(42 fantasy points) He hasn’t been getting that many looks on offense of late but this game should be fast paced and we should see a ton of scoring.

Sneaky GPP Play- Thomas Robinson

Centers

Rudy Gobert $6,500 @ NO

NBA lineup help and advice 3/5

Gobert has a double-double in 3 of his last 4 games and even swatted six shots in his last game against the Grizzlies. This is the best matchup Gobert will see all season as Asik and Ajinca are both out tonight and the Pelicans are struggling to find someone to protect the paint and score down low. In fact, the center situation is so bad in New Orleans that they’ve had to bring in Kendrick Perkins to start for their playoff push.

Robin Lopez $5,600 vs. DET

Lopez has been inconsistent all season(just look at his last 10 games), but in his two games against the Pistons this season he’s averaging 43.6 fantasy points/game. Lopez has been stealing the spotlight from Porzingas over the last few weeks and has been averaging close to a double-double over his last 5 games. We only recommend Lopez for tournaments, not cash games because you never know what you’re gonna get.

Sneaky GPP Play- Willie Cauley-Stein
