Free NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/1/16

What’s up guys? Hope everyone had a good night in the Fanduel DFS world. As I write this, its way to early to tell how my advice from yesterday did, but so far so good.

Tonight we get another “sweet spot” of games with six on the slate. At first glance, before I’ve broken anything down, I can see there is going to be some good value tonight.

Be sure to check out Gerson’s spreadsheet to help you if you don’t have time for a lot of research. He compiles a lot of relevant information into an easy to read excel sheet and its live updating! Click here to check it out.

Now let us jump into tonight’s games…

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 3/1/16

Game Winner My Game Winner will be my top play for the position.

Dunk A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.

Half-Court Shot Otherwise known as a “punt play”.

Pass A player deemed a Pass is someone I’m avoiding — or “passing” on.

Point Guard

Game Winner Stephen Curry (GS) vs ATL $11,200

We have been treated to some juicy matchups over the last few days, and tonight we get another when outright NBA title favorites, the Golden State Warriors, host the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday night. Espn.com‘s latest power ranking obviously has the Warriors at the No.1 spot and they have the Hawks moving up to the No. 10 spot, so this is essentially a battle of two top ten teams. There is an outside chance Curry misses this game, but I for one expect him to suit up, and if he does, he needs to be in your lineup.

Dunk Goran Dragic (MIA) vs CHI $6,300

nba fanduel lineup 3/1/16Ever Since Chris Bosh went down, Dragic has become Robin to Dwyane Wade‘s Batman. He has looked far more aggressive on offense while still racking up good assist numbers. The addition of Joe Johnson will help spread the floor to allow Dragic to penetrate the defense, and that defense tonight is the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are not very good at defending the point guard position — with or without Derrick Rose. At $6,300 Dragic should have no trouble hitting value tonight.

Half-Court Shot D’Angelo Russell (LAL) vs BKN $5,300

After his second straight 30-plus fantasy point game, Russell looks to be hitting his stride, and the lowly Nets won’t be able to slow him down. The Nets are bottom five against opposing point guards and they aren’t much better against shooting guards, so no matter what position he is playing he should have no trouble keeping up his hot streak,

Pass Jeff Teague (ATL) @ GS $6,300

He is a little cheaper than my usual “Pass” players, but there isn’t a lot of top-tier guys tonight for me to put on this list. Teague has not been the player he was last year, and despite his recent spike in production, I’m not using him against the Warriors. At $6,300 there are better options.

Shooting Guard

Game Winner Victor Oladipo (ORL) @DAL $7,000

nba fanduel lineup 3/1/16Remember when he came off the bench at one point in the season? Yeah, well those days are far behind us. In his last ten games, I count six in which he logged over 40 minutes. I like him even if Evan Fournier plays, but I like him a lot more is he sits. The Mavericks are middle of the pack against the shooting guard, but Oladipo is playing too well to fade him based on DvP.

Dunk Jordan Clarkson (LAL) vs BKN $6,000

The other side of that backcourt tandem in L.A. has played almost as well as his teammate Russell. He had a bit of a down game against the Grizzlies, but the Nets should offer little resistance for Clarkson to get back on track.

Half-Court Shot Wesley Matthews (DAL) vs ORL $4,300

There is little to no value at the shooting guard position today. There are a couple punt options, but if you’re looking for some consistent production, and a player that should hit value, look no further than Wesley Matthews. At $4,300 he only needs about 20 fantasy points to hit five times value, a number he has hit five of his last six games.

Pass Nicolas Batum (CHA) vs PHO $6,200

This one is personal. He is the reason I didn’t cash in my GPP Saturday. He will probably have a good game, but I’m fading him on principle.

Small Forward

Game Winner Carmelo Anthony (NY) vs POR $8,900

nba fanduel lineup 3/1/16I thought long and hard about putting Parsons as my game winner but ultimately landed on Melo. I think Melo could outscore Parsons in “straight up” fantasy points, but with the cheaper price tag, Parsons might be the better play.

Dunk Chandler Parsons (DAL) vs ORL $6,800

-See Carmelo Anthony

Half-Court Shot Mike Dunleavy (CHI) @ MIA $3,900

I’ve pumped this guy up for a few days now. He isn’t the “sexy” pick, but he has hit five times value over his last four games, and at $3,900 he should have no issues doing it again. The Heat are bottom seven against opposing small forwards over the last three weeks, and if I’m not mistaken, Joe Johnson is now their starting small forward. That defensive rating isn’t going to get any better.

Pass NONE

Power Forward

Game Winner Draymond Green (GS) vs ATL $8,400

In the game against the OKC Thunder, Draymond Green had one of the more spectacular fantasy lines I have ever seen. He had two, yes two, real-life NBA points, but had 57 fantasy points! That’s insane. He wasn’t great the last time he played Atlanta, but with Curry potentially out, or at least slowed by injury, Green may have to step up offensively. I’m predicting triple-double here.

Dunk Aaron Gordon (ORL) @ DAL $6,500

nba fanduel lineup 3/1/16Gordon has been the most consistent power forward over the last few weeks, and a matchup with the fourth worst defense  defending the power forward isn’t going to change that. I said the other night that Gordon didn’t have 40 fantasy point upside, and then he went out and got 40. He could flirt with 40 again in this juicy matchup.

Half-Court Shot Mirza Teletovic (PHO) @ CHA $4,700

He may the Suns best offense player and since being moved into the starting lineup, he has started to show what he is capable of. Tonight he gets a juicy matchup with the Hornets, a team ranked sixth worst defending power forwards. He only needs 25 to hit five times value, I expect 30-plus.

Pass Paul Millsap (ATL) @ GS $7,700

Millsap has been wildly inconsistent of late and even though there is a chance he has a good game here, his recent history says otherwise. He only had 22 fantasy points against Golden State three short games ago, and that was at home. Now he has to go play in Oakland where the Warriors haven’t lost in nearly two years. No thanks.

Center

Game Winner Brook Lopez (BKN) @ LAL $8,400

nba fanduel lineup 3/1/16Lakers frontcourt, meet Bro-Lo. Bro-Lo, meet the Lakers. That is all.

Dunk Al Horford (ATL) @ GS $7,900

66.2. What’s that you ask? 66.2 is what Horford had three games ago against this very same Golden State team. I don’t expect him to put up 66 again, but 45 would be nice.

Half-Court Shot Robin Lopez (NY) vs POR $6,000

Blazers frontcourt meet Ro-Lo… Okay, that doesn’t work the same, but against this frontcourt, the “other Lopez” could easily grab 15-18 rebounds. Couple that with 10-12 points and you have a cheap center getting five times value.
