MLB FanDuel Gut Feeling 7/28

Although I’ve been on and off posting on here my Twitter feed has always been a spot to find my lineups. And lately I’ve been hot. Other than Sunday I’ve been cashing, including have a 40.75 point night. On to tonight’s lineup:

Pitcher: Noah Syndergaard $8,800
Syndergaard faces a slumping Padres lineup in what should a pitchers duel with James Shields. With an all of a sudden hitting Mets offense I feel safer playing their pitchers with the added hope of a win bonus.

Catcher: Evan Gattis $3,300
With hits in four of his last five games, the Astros enter a huge series against the Angels on the road. Gattis could come up big in a game with huge implications. Wilson has given up five or more hits in seven straight starts.

First Baseman: Jose Abreu $3,200
Currently on a seven game hit streak, Abreu and the White Sox are playing the way everyone thought they would at the beginning of the season. I expect the streak to continue against a struggling Red Sox pitching staff.

Second Baseman: DJ LaMahieu $2,900
LaMahieu has been on fire and faces Cubs pitcher Dallas Beeler who’s been very hitter friendly. He pitched better in his last outing but I think the Rockies will pull through.

Third Baseman: Alex Rodriguez $4,000
Rodriguez has been very hot this last week and that continued with another homer last night. I always like the “player going against his former team” dynamic and I believe A-Rod goes yard again tonight as my Ulitmate Gut Call.

Shortstop: JJ Hardy $2,700
I don’t have any stats to back this up but it seems Hardy has good nights in interleague play. The Braves fit that bill. Hardy should have another good night.

Outfielder: Michael Taylor $2,800
Not many players under $3,000 have the big game potential as Michael Taylor. He’s a good fastball hitter and faces Jose Fernandez who throws a lot of them. Taylor should get a hold of a couple of them for a good hitting night.

Outfielder: Lorenzo Cain $3,800
Cain and the Royals face a reeling Indians team. I expect the Royals to slap them around some more tonight with Cain having a good game at the plate.

Outfielder: Melky Cabrera $3,500
Another White Sox hitter that has discovered his bat, Cabrera is batting well over .300 this month. He could shine again tonight.

Confidence level: 4 out of 5
Let’s hope the strong hitting continues tonight. I’m going to throw this lineup in GPPs as well as 50/50s, the potential here is high. Good luck everyone!!
