MLB FanDuel Gut Feeling 7/8

Thanks to a big three run single by Bogaerts my team crossed the 40 point barrier last night.  Tonight I’m going with a dominant pitcher and lots of value from hitters.  Watch out for the weather for the Angels/Rockies game.  Here is my lineup for tonight:

Pitcher: Clayton Kershaw $12,500
Believe it or not, Kershaw has a career losing record vs the Phillies.  And the Phillies have been hitting well on their west coast trip.  I’m still leaning Kershaw, I believe he will pitch at a high level tonight and get us a win with a high strikeout rate.

Catcher: Chris Iannetta $2,700
Iannetta has hits in three of his past four games and hit a homer last night.  I’m looking for value so I’m going with him in Coors Field tonight.  The Angels should do well against Rusin and the Rockies tonight.

First Baseman: Adam LaRoche $2,300
While he is hitless in seven of his last eight games, and is career 0-3 vs Jays pitcher Drew Hutchinson, I believe this is the ultimate “due” theory game here.  I predict LaRoche to have a breakout game and with that Adam Laroche is my Ultimate Gut Call.

Second Baseman: Rougned Odor $2,800
Odor has hits in nine of his last ten games and faces a very hittable Diamondbacks pitching staff tonight.  Expect another couple of hits from Odor tonight.

Third Baseman: David Freese $3,100
Another value play at third base tonight.  Freese, like Iannetta, get to take on a friendly pitching staff in a hitters haven in Coors Field.  I like Freese’s chances tonight.

Shortstop: Xander Bogaerts $2,900
Bogaerts remained hot with a game changing three-run single last night.  Until he cools down or his price gets too high Bogaerts will remain in my roster.

Outfielder: Preston Tucker $3,000
When Tucker is hitting, he puts up big numbers.  He has been up and down recently but he’s batting .667 in this series vs the Indians.  Bauer has given up big games to hitters so Tucker should be a good play tonight.

Outfielder: Andre Ethier $2,400
Either has a hit in six of his past seven games.  This is a lefty/lefty matchup so be on the lookout for a scratch from Ethier so have a backup ready.  At this price point I’m leaning towards Michael Taylor, Grady Sizemore and Dexter Fowler.

Outfielder: Christian Yelich $3,200
Yelich’s hot July continues to roll along so I’m back on the bandwagon.  With Porcello on the mound for the Red Sox tonight Yelich should have another good game tonight.

Confidence Level: 3.5 out of 5
Tons of value with this lineup, this can either go really well or really bad.  I don’t see an in between tonight.  Good luck everyone!
