MLB Lineup Advice for Draftkings and Fanduel – 4/13/16

Another decent 10-game slate for us to attack, so let’s dig in! 

Top Pitchers

Instead of just giving you three top pitchers in different price ranges, I’ll highlight the pitchers you should be targeting in cash games and GPPs:

Cash Game Plays

Stephen Strasburg (DK – $11,600, FD – $11,200

John Lackey (DK – $8,300, FD – $8,500)

GPP Plays

Carlos Carrasco (DK – $11,900, FD – $10,200)

Carlos Rodon (DK – $9,500, FD – $8,500)

Jared Eickhoff (DK – $7,900, FD – $6,600)

Top Hitters

Chris Davis 1B/OF (DK – $4,800, FD – $4,100) – Davis crushed RHP last year to the tune of a 0.410 wOBA and 0.350 ISO, so when he faces off against a weak RHP, you should just lock him in. The Red Sox Joe Kelly had a 4.23 SIERA last year and got off to a bad start this year allowing seven runs in three plus innings against the Blue Jays. The Orioles offense has been on fire so far this year, so should have no trouble putting up a big number on Kelly, and Davis should be at the middle of it. He has double dong upside and is playable in all formats.

Gerardo Parra OF (DK – $4,000, FD – $3,400) – Parra still has the platoon advantage, hits in the top five in the order, plays in Coors, and is ONLY $4K on DK and $3.4K on FD. He’s easily the most reasonably priced hitter in this game and a great value for cash or GPPs. And the fact that he had a 0.345 wOBA and 0.170 ISO last year against RHP when he wasn’t playing at Coors isn’t too bad either.

Corey Seager (DK – $3,900, FD – $3,600) – Ruby De La Rosa allowed a 0.404 wOBA last year to LHH and the Dodgers can do serious damage against pitchers that struggle against lefties. Seager should hit at the top of the lineup, plays a scarce position, and costs under $4K. He had a 0.437 wOAB against RHP last year and has enormous upside in this matchup.
