NASCAR ALL STAR RACE DFS 5/18/2019

The All-Star Race is here as the best drivers in the world will be battling for $1 million. Drivers will be shown as questionable because not every driver is automatically entered into the race. Some drivers are already in and the others will battle in the open (a race before the actual All-Star race) and via a fan vote so only 4 drivers from the open will move on to the All-Star Race. Now we will find the best values in their respective price range on DraftKings.

NOTE: In this article, there will be drivers who have yet to qualify for the All-Star Race. If the drivers I put in here do not qualify I will put out a follow-up article immediately after the open.

$9,000-$10,500

Kevin Harvick $9,800 (Qualified for All-Star Race)

Kevin Harvick qualified third for the All-Star Race and seems to be the fastest car on the race track this weekend. In his five All-Star Race appearances with Stewart-Haas Racing, he has three top-five finishes and his worst finish has been 11th place. Look for last years $1 million winner to try and repeat this year.

Joey Logano $9,300 (Qualified for All-Star Race)

Joey Logano has raced in the All-Star Race eleven times and has ten top ten finishes including one prior All-Star Race win. He looked quite fast in qualifying but overran his pit box which lost him valuable qualifying seconds. Logano has been strong on 1 1/2 mile tracks all year and will be a serious contender to win his second All-Star Race.

$7,000-$8,900

Denny Hamlin $8,400 (Qualified for All-Star Race)

In the last six All-Star Races, only one driver has finished in the top ten in every one of them, that driver is Denny Hamlin. He has a record of being a very good driver at Charlotte and has already found success at a 1 1/2 track earlier this season at Texas. Hamlin did not qualify particularly well but changes will be made and Denny is sure to take some risks to capture his second All-Star Race win.

$6,900 and Below

Jimmie Johnson $6,500 (Qualified for All-Star Race)

The only driver in the field that has multiple All-Star Race wins is Jimmie Johnson. He has not won a race in quite a while in Jimmie Johnson standards but if there is a race where you can not count Jimmie out its at Charlotte. He is starting in the 8th position and knowing Jimmie he will more than likely take a big risk at some point to try and get his third All-Star Race win and his first win in quite a while.

Drivers not Qualified that should qualify and do well in the All-Star Race

These drivers will have to race through the Open to get into the All-Star Race but I like their chances and think they have the ability to do well in the race.
Kyle Larson $7,800

Larson has back to back top ten finishes in the All-Star Race one being a runner up in 2017. This year it will take more as he will have to fight to get in through the Open and then claw his way from the back of the field to get to the win. After two solid weeks in a row, Larson’s confidence is high and seems like a strong bet to advance and put up a solid All-Star Race performance.

Daniel Hemric $5,200

The last time a rookie in the #8 car raced in the All-Star Race was in 2000 when Dale Earnhardt Jr won the race. Hemric has shown a ton of speed all weekend as he was the fastest qualifier out of the drivers in the Open. He should advance through a Stage 1 victory if that speed holds up and this being his hometown track expect big things from Hemric as he is the best value on the slate by far if he can race his way into the All-Star Race.
