NBA DFS – (DraftKings) Thursday 12/20

Alright, Alright, Alright, What’s up everybody and welcome back, hope all is well in your fantasy sports life  (and real life). We had an action-packed night of hoops Wednesday night that had twelve games.

Some notable ones including, the Jazz took down the Warriors in Salt Lake City. The Rockets were busy winning their fifth straight game over the Wizards, setting an NBA record 26 three-pointers in a single game in the process. The Suns stunned the Celtics in Boston getting there 8th win of the season. We also saw the Grizzlies drop there 4th straight loss at Portland.

I’m almost satisfied with most of my player picks. I had a few in my ‘Airball’ portion that did better than thought. Overall, it was a good night only a few duds on my behalf. It is Thursday, and if you watched the NBA long enough, you know that Thursday’s are always limited in NBA games.

All that being said we still have games to be played, on the agenda for tonight’s action is the TNT NBA double-header. First up, The Rockets are in South Beach taking on the Miami Heat, followed by Dallas out west taking on the Clippers out west at the Staples Center.

The depth of players I will have to choose from (obviously) will be much slimmer than most nights, so this article may not be as in-depth as previous columns. If this is your first time reading my content welcome, glad to have your eyes here!

The way that I rank players goes as following Under “Shoot” I will have a player that I think is due for a good game. ” And 1” is a player that has a lower price with a high upside. The last one is” Airball” is the player that I believe is going to have a more challenging night due to the matchup. Now let us get to the real reason we are all here!

*Some of my position plays are left blank tonight since the amount of games is only two and I had to rush this article. Sorry in advance!

Point Guard:

Shoot: Chris Paul (@ Heat)

Coming off the second night of a back to back Paul, has a salary of $8,200 averaging 38.3 FPPG. Last night in a win against Washington CP3 had 42.5 DK points. Miami is ranked 20th in OPRK verses PGs, I love this match-up and absolutely will have him as point guard.

And 1: J.J. Barea (@ Clippers)

Love our content? Check out the GoingFor2 Live Podcast Network!

Barea has averaged 23.6 FPPG in 19.5 minutes per game this season. In his last ten games played J.J. has produced 25.2 FPPG. With a salary of $4,500 Barea, is a high upside for the price. In his last meeting with the Clippers, who rank 30th in OPRK, J.J. put up 35.3 DK points.

Airball: Tyler Johnson (Vs. Rockets)

Johnson has been dealing with migraines, so he is probable against Houston tonight. He has a price of $5,100 and putting up 20.9 FPPG in 25.3 minutes per game this season. The Rockets are ranked 8th in OPRK; I do not like this matchup for Tyler Johnson so I would fade him for tonight.

Shooting Guard:

Shoot: James Harden (@ Heat)

Harden had another monster game Wednesday night versus the Wizards. Harden who is starting to look like the player that won MVP last year, finished with 58.3 DK points. In this five-game winning streak for Houston, Harden has put up 65 FPPG. Miami has a 27th OPRK against PG/SGs, expect the beard to have another big night.

And 1: Wesley Matthews (@ Clippers)

Averaging 24.2 FPPG with a salary of $4,800 this season, as well putting up 29 DK points in the first meeting against the Clippers is Matthews. LAC is ranked 18th in OPRK.

Airball: None

Small Forward:

ShootTobias Harris (Vs. Mavericks)

At $7,800 Harris is averaging 37.5 FPPG this season for the Clippers. Dallas is 20th in OPRK. Harris should have another solid game tonight

And 1: Eric Gordon (@ Heat)

Gordon is averaging 22.8 FPPG this season with a price of $4,600 this year. He’s going up against a Miami squad who ranks 25th in OPRK.

Airball: Derrick Jones Jr. (Vs. Houston)

Priced at only $4,400 is Jones Jr. Averaging 15 FPPG this season, expecting him to have a tougher matchup since Houston is 7th OPRK.

Power Forward:

Shoot: Danilo Gallinari (Vs. Mavericks)

Gallo is putting up 35.5 FPPG this season with a price of $6,600. The deadly shooter has a nice matchup against a Dallas team who ranks 20th in OPRK.

And 1: Kelly Olynyk (Vs. Rockets)

Priced at $4,700, he is averaging 21 FPPG the Rockets, however, are 11th in OPRK. I think Olynyk has a decent game for the Heat.

Airball: None

Center:

Shoot: DeAndre Jordan (@ Clippers)

DJ has a salary that is going to cost you $7,400, while he is providing 34.6 FPPG. Earlier this season in his first game against the Clippers since leaving them Jordan had 54.3 DK points. Being that the Clippers are 30th in OPRK, don’t be surprised if DJ puts up similar numbers tonight.

And 1: Dwight Powell (@ Clippers)

Mr. Powell is averaging 17.6 FPPG this season and has a salary of $3,200. He has a favorable matchup as Dallas is 23rd in OPRK.

Airball: None
