NBA DFS (DraftKings) – Tuesday 12/11

Alright folks so for tonight’s slate and moving forward. I am going to switch up the way I have been writing these columns, that way I can cover all the games. Thanks for the advice Geoff! There are only 3 games on the board in the association tonight, I will be picking a few players from each game. I will go by position, same concept as to who I would start and steer away from just as my two previous articles. For the whole are just now reading my columns, thanks and this how I rate my players nightly. The way my weird little legend I decided to use works as followed. Under “Shoot” I will have a player that I think is due for a good game. ”And 1” is a player that has a lower price with a high upside. The last one is ”Airball” is the player that I believe is going to have a tougher night due to the matchup. Since three games are on the schedule tonight, the players I choose may seem more obvious. Please do not hold it against me, I am still new to this whole gig! With that being said let us get down to the brass tax on this light Tuesday night of action!

Point Guard:

Shoot: Damian Lillard (@Rockets)

In the first meeting of the season Dame had 37.3 Draftkings points. Coming into tonight with a salary of $9,700 and 46.2 FPPG I like this matchup for Lillard. Even though the Rockets OPRK is 3rd, the Portland star PG always seems to play them pretty good, as a Rockets fan I will never forget him winning the series over Chandler Parsons back in the 2014 western conference 1st round.

And 1: De’Anthony Melton (@Spurs)

Devin Booker will be sidelined again for the fourth game in a row with a hamstring injury. Melton got the start in the game Friday against the heat. He had 25.3 Draftkings points, in his last 3 games Melton has had 22 or more points. The Spurs are not the Spurs of the past, they are not the same defensive team we all remember watching over the last decade. San Antonio is 16th in OPRK against PGs, at $4,300 Melton could be a nice play for low cost.

Airball: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (vs Raptors)

With Lou Williams not available to play tonight, more is going to be expected from the PG position for the Clips. Toronto is 10th in OPRK verse PGs. Gilgeous-Alexander is priced at $4,900 so it’s not like he is that expensive, I just would rather use that and gamble on the likes of a Patrick Beverley.

Honorable Mentions: Chris Paul ($7,800), Kyle Lowry ($7,200), Fred VanVleet ($4,400)

Shooting Guard:

Shoot: James Harden (vs Trail Blazers)

With a salary just below $11,000 at $10,700 for the bearded one tonight. Harden is averaging 58.6 FPPG in the last ten games, Portland coming in ranking 23rd in OPRK verse SGs. It’s still early in the season but you just got to think this team is going to look like the team that was one win away from the NBA finals last season. This all starts with James, I think he will have a nice all around game but, not sure if it’s going to be enough for the Rockets. (I hope I am wrong)

And 1: Mikal Bridges (@San Antonio)

With a salary of $4,000 Bridges, could be a value start tonight. In the past four games he has had all but one with 24 fantasy points, over the past ten games he’s at 15.4 FPPG. In the first meeting with San Antonio, Bridges had 19.1 fantasy points in 26 minutes. Plus, with Booker and Jamal Crawford being out there is a need for more production for the Suns.

Airball: Evan Turner (@Rockets)

Turner is priced at only $4,200 tonight so it’s not to much of a risk. The Rockets however, rank 6th in OPRK verse SG/SFs. Turner managed 17.3 fantasy points back in late October verses the Rockets.

Honorable Mentions: CJ McCollum ($6,800), Eric Gordon ($4,500), Danny Green ($4,600)

Small Forward:

Shoot: Kawhi Leonard (@Clippers)

Leonard has a salary of $9,400 against the Clippers tonight, while averaging 46.4 FPPG. He has a favorable matchup as the clips are ranking 27th in OPRK. Los Angeles coming into this game with LBM out they’re losing a solid defender who would help tremendously with Kawhi. I like this matchup for Mr. Leonard and the Raptors.

And 1: Trevor Ariza (@Spurs)

The last time the Suns and Spurs battled it out, Ariza put up 32.3 fantasy points. His salary is $5,000 with a flat 25.0 FPPG, the Spurs also rank 26th in OPRK verse SF/PFs this season.

Airball: Al-Farouq Aminu (@Rockets)

Aminu, with a $4,700 price who is averaging 23.8 FPPG so far this year, has a tougher matchup tonight against Houston. The first time these teams played this season Aminu, only had 14 fantasy points. The Rockets are 5th in OPRK against SF/PFs.

Honorable Mentions: DeMar DeRozan ($9,200), Josh Jackson ($5,500), Rudy Gay ($6,400)

Power Forward:

Shoot: Danilo Gallinari (vs Raptors)

Danilo has a salary of $6,500 tonight verses Toronto. This season he has averaged 32.6 FPPG, over the last ten averaging 34.8. Him and To ias Harris have been very important to the success of the Clippers this year.

And 1: PJ Tucker (vs Trail Blazers)

In the first meeting between these two squads, the man with the best shoe collection in the league (look it up if you do not believe me) provided 25.5 fantasy points. With a low salary of $4,000, PJ has a chance to give put up some good numbers for that price as Portland is ranked 28th in OPRK verses SF/PFs.

Airball: Lamarcus Aldridge (vs Suns)

Aldridge is priced at $8,100 for tonight’s game, he has averaged 36.8 FPPG so far this year. Earlier when he faced the Suns this year, he had 24.9 fantasy points. Phoenix is 11th verses PF/Cs in OPRK.

Honorable Mentions: Tobias Harris ($7,400), Montrezl Harrell ($6,600), Pascal Siakam ($6,300)

Center:

Shoot: Clint Capela (vs Trail Blazers)

Capelas salary is $7.700, he’s putting out 40.0 FPPG. During the previous ten games, the Swiss center for Houston has been averaging 44.0 FPPG.

And 1: Jonas Valanciunas (@Clippers)

Averaging 25.7 FPPG Valanciunas, has a pretty good bargain price at $4,800. His matchup is favorable as well since the Clippers are 29th in OPRK.

Airball: Meyers Leonard (@Rockets)

His salary is not expensive by any means at $3,300. Quite frankly since it’s such a small slate tonight, I am having to dig a little deeper. Houston is ranked 7th in OPRK verses Cs. With Nene backing Capela I think Meyers is going to have a tough evening.

Honorable Mentions: Jusuf Nurkic ($7,500), Deandre Ayton ($6,700), Serge Ibaka ($6,200)
