NBA DFS FanDuel Advice 4/20/16

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back at it again with my NBA DFS FanDuel advice! It’s officially playoff time around the league and I couldn’t be more excited. I know my Mavericks probably won’t win another game against the Thunder but that win on Monday night was beautiful! Anyways, for this slate, I’m going to cover nine guys who I think would be a great lineup for you all to run with.

So, here’s my NBA DFS FanDuel advice for 4/20/16:

Point Guards

Chris Paul, vs. Blazers ($9,800)

I love the Clippers players for this slate! I honestly don’t think that this Portland team is going to be able to slow Paul down whatsoever, which makes him one of the top options for Wednesday evening. This season, the Blazers haven’t defended well against opposing point guards, allowing an average of 41.6 FanDuel points per night to the position. Last time out against Portland, Paul scored a massive 53.7 FD points for his owners!

Reggie Jackson, vs. Cavs ($6,600)

It was really a toss up for me on whether or not to go with Goran Dragic or Jackson for this slate. In order to get a few of the other expensive options that I wanted, I decided to roll with Jackson. In Game 1 against Cleveland, he played 34 minutes, scoring a cool 28.9 FanDuel points for his owners. He’ll be taking on a Cavaliers squad, who have given up an average of 40.6 FD points per contest to opposing point guards this year.

Shooting Guards

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, vs. Cavs ($5,400)

I’m just not very pumped about really any shooting guard options, so I’m going to look at KCP who has been a mid-tier option all season long. In Game 1 against the Cavaliers, Caldwell-Pope played a massive 38 minutes, scoring a nice 27.9 FanDuel points. Throughout this season, Cleveland has been lackluster at defending against shooting guards, giving up an average of 34.9 FD points per outing to the position.

J.J. Redick, vs. Blazers ($4,500)

I’m looking for value at the shooting guard spot and Redick is typically a guy that I roll with. It’s honestly a toss-up between Jamal Crawford and him for this slate but from a DFS standpoint, Redick has been slightly more consistent. This year, Portland has been decent against opposing shooting guards, allowing an average of 34.1 FanDuel points per game to the position. Last time out against the Blazers, Redick played 27 minutes and scored a solid 20.6 FanDuel points.

Small Forwards

Marcus Morris, vs. Cavs ($5,900)

I really like all of these mid-tier Pistons players for this slate! Surprisingly, Detroit gave Cleveland a run for their money last time out, so I’m hoping for another close game once again for this slate. This year, the Cavaliers have defended well against opposing shooting guards, allowing 33.7 FanDuel points per contest to the position. Last time out against the Cavaliers, Morris played a monstrous 40 minutes, scoring a solid 30.9 FD points.

Al-Farouq Aminu, vs. Clippers ($5,500)

I plan on spending the majority of my cash on big men for this slate, so going cheap at small forward will be a must. As much as I’d like to play LeBron James other guys were just more important to me. In Game 1 versus the Clippers, Aminu played 26 minutes, scoring a cool 28.9 FanDuel points. He can score a ton of points in a quick time period, making him an always viable fantasy option.

Power Forwards

Kevin Love, vs. Pistons ($7,300)

Love absolutely dominated this Pistons defense in Game 1 to the tune of 28 points and 13 rebounds! That game, he played 38 minutes and scored a huge 45.1 FanDuel points. He’ll be facing off against a Pistons squad that defended well against opposing power forwards this season but I’m just not worried. Hopefully, Love will continue to play with a chip on his shoulder and prove that he was worth all of the money Cleveland threw at him.

Luol Deng, vs. Hornets ($6,600)

I firmly believe that Deng will be one of the best options overall for this entire slate! This season, Charlotte has allowed an average of 41.9 FanDuel points per night to opposing power forwards, making them a great streaming option. Last time out against the Hornets, Deng played 33 minutes, scoring 41.9 FD points for his loyal DFS owners.

DeAndre Jordan, vs. Blazers ($8,000)

I just don’t think that anyone else compares to this guy for this slate! The Blazers have been statistically one of the worst teams all year long against opposing centers, giving up an average of 48.2 FanDuel points per game to the position. Last time out against Portland, Jordan dominated them to the tune of 18 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks. That night, he played 32 minutes for Los Angeles, scoring a massive 42.9 FD points.
