NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for 1/12/16

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back with my free NBA DFS FanDuel advice for the 1/12/16 slate of games. Thursday’s main slate will consist of a decent five-game schedule. I still see plenty of solid plays to choose from, especially on the value side. In this article I’m going to give you guys a couple of nice plays to roll with for each position, so let’s get started!

Point Guard

Top Play: Reggie Jackson, @ GSW ($7,000)

I could choose Stephen Curry here but I just really like the much cheaper price tag that Jackson brings to the table. So far this year, he’s managed to average a smooth 27.31 FD points per outing for his loyal DFS owners. This season, Jackson is averaging 16.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 29.1 minutes per game for Detroit. This year, the Warriors have allowed an average of 42.9 FD points per outing to opposing point guards.

Value Pick: Deron Williams, @ PHO ($5,900)

This is the perfect game to grab a few of the Mavericks value plays! So far this season, the Suns have given up an average of 45.9 FD points per game to opposing point guards. This year, Williams is averaging 13.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 6.7 assists in 30.2 minutes per game for Dallas. He’s managed to average a cool 25.47 FD points per outing for his fantasy owners this season.

Shooting Guard

Top Play: Dwyane Wade, @ NYK ($6,900)

With both Jimmy Butler and Nikola Mirotic already ruled out for this slate, Wade should be in for a heavy workload. This season, the Knicks have allowed an average of 37.8 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards. So far this year, Wade has managed to average a solid 31.31 FD points per outing for his owners. He’s averaging 18.7, 4.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 30.3 minutes per game for Chicago.

Value Pick: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, @ GSW ($5,900)

I really like this matchup for Detroit’s main guys for Thursday evening! This year, the Warriors have given up an average of 36.4 FD points per game to opposing shooting guards. So far this season, Caldwell-Pope has averaged 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 34.2 minutes per game for the Pistons. He’s managed to average a consistent 25.31 FD points per contest for his owners.

Small Forward

Top Play: Kevin Durant, vs. DET ($10,300)

Durant should be in store for a nice night against a lackluster Detroit defense versus his position. Over their last five games, Detroit has allowed an average of 36.5 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards. So far this year, Durant has managed to average a massive 46.61 FD points per contest for his DFS owners. This season, he’s averaging 26.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 34.4 minutes per game for the Warriors.

Value Pick: Marcus Morris, @ GSW ($4,600)

I’m going to stick with picking Pistons guys that will be receiving a huge boost in pace. This year, Morris has managed to average a nice 21.97 FD points per game for his loyal owners. So far this season, he’s averaged 13.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 32.0 minutes per outing for Detroit. The Warriors have allowed an average of 37.4 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards this year.

Power Forward

Top Play: Anthony Davis, @ BKN ($11,800)

Well, you guys will want to monitor Davis’ injury status closer to game time. He’s questionable for now but feels optimistic that he’ll play on Thursday. So far this year, Davis is averaging 29.1 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 37.0 minutes per game for New Orleans. This season, he’s managed to average a monstrous 52.25 FD points per game for his owners. The Nets have allowed an average of 45.1 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards.

Value Pick: Dirk Nowitzki, @ PHO ($5,500)

Dirk has finally got things going for the Mavericks and draws a tasty matchup for Thursday night. This year, he’s averaging 12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds in 24.1 minutes per game for Dallas. So far this season, Nowitzki has managed to average a moderate 22.35 FD points per outing for his owners. The Suns have given up an average of 42.6 FD points per game to opposing power forwards.

Center

Top Play: Brook Lopez, vs. NOP ($7,000)

I love Lopez for this slate, especially if Anthony Davis misses. So far this year, the Pelicans have allowed an average of 47.9 FD points per game to opposing centers. This season, Lopez has averaged 20.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 29.2 minutes per contest for the Nets. He’s managed to average a cool 32.12 FD points per outing for his loyal fantasy owners.

Value Pick: Pau Gasol, vs. LAL ($6,400)

Gasol will get the pleasure of facing off against one of his former teams on Thursday evening. So far this year, he’s managed to average a smooth 27.60 FD points per contest for his loyal DFS owners. This season, Gasol is averaging 11.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 26.4 minutes per outing for the Spurs. Over their last five games, the Lakers have allowed an average of 56.7 FD points per contest to opposing centers.

Well, those are my NBA DFS value plays for the 1/12/16 slate of games. Hopefully, with my advice, you guys will prosper on Thursday night. Thanks for reading and good luck, everyone!
