NBA DFS FanDuel Advice & Spreadsheet for 2/9/17

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back with my free NBA DFS FanDuel advice for the 2/9/16 slate of games. Thursday’s main slate will consist of a small five-game schedule. I still see plenty of solid plays to choose from, especially on the value side. In this article, I’m going to give you guys a couple of nice plays to roll with for each position, so let’s get started!

Spreadsheet for today embedded at the bottom

Point Guard

Top Play: Isaiah Thomas, @ POR ($10,500)

The easy play for this slate at point guard is Russell Westbrook but I’m going to roll with another guy instead. So far this season, Thomas has managed to average 42.03 FD points per game for his owners. This year, he’s averaging 29.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 34.3 minutes per game for the Celtics. This season, the Blazers have allowed 42.9 FD points per game to opposing point guards.

Value Pick: Elfrid Payton, vs. PHI ($6,300)

Elfrid will draw a nice matchup against a terrible group of Philly defenders for this slate. So far this year, the Sixers have given up an average of 43.5 FD points per contest to opposing point guards. This season, Payton has averaged 12.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 29.2 minutes per game for the Magic. This year, he’s managed to average a solid 27.16 FD points per outing for his owners.

Shooting Guard

Top Play: C.J. McCollum, vs. BOS ($8,200)

James Harden will be the popular pick here but I wouldn’t mind saving a ton of cash and rolling with C.J. In two of his last three games, McCollum has scored 38+ FD points per outing for his loyal owners. So far this season, he’s averaging 23.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 34.3 minutes per game for the Blazers. This year, the Celtics have allowed an average of 35.4 FD points per game to opposing shooting guards.

Value Pick: Victor Oladipo, vs. CLE ($6,400)

This game should be a stellar one for both of Oklahoma City’s starting guards! So far this year, the Cavaliers have given up an average of 36.9 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards. This season, Oladipo has managed to average a cool 26.82 FD points per game for his owners. This year, he’s averaging 16.0 points, 4.4 assists and  2.5 rebounds in 33.5 minutes per game for the Thunder.

Small Forward

Top Play: LeBron James, @ OKC ($11,500)

If I’m going to pay up for any one player, I’m rolling with the Kings for Thursday night. So far this year, James is averaging 25.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 8.8 assists in 37.4 minutes per outing for the Cavaliers. This season, he’s managed to average a monstrous 48.35 FD points per game for his DFS owners. This year, the Thunder have given up an average of 36.9 FD points per game to opposing small forwards.

Value Pick: Trevor Ariza, @ CHA ($5,400)

If Ariza gets hot from behind the arc on Thursday evening, he’ll be a deadly fantasy option! So far this season, he’s managed to average a consistent 25.29 FD points per game for his owners. This year, Ariza has averaged 11.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 34.3 minutes per outing for the Rockets. This season, the Hornets have allowed an average of 37.9 FD points per game to opposing small forwards.

Power Forward

Top Play: Kevin Love, @ OKC ($8,900)

The power forward options are rather bare for this slate, so you’ll want to pay up for Love. So far this year, Oklahoma City has given up an average of 41.2 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. This season, Love has managed to average a smooth 36.82 FD points per outing for his owners. This year, he’s averaging 20.4 points and 11.1 rebounds in 31.5 minutes per game for Cleveland.

Value Pick: Marvin Williams, vs. HOU ($5,400)

If Cody Zeller misses again for this slate, both Frank Kaminsky and Williams will be great value options. So far this season, he’s managed to average a solid 21.61 FD points per outing for his owners. This year, Williams is averaging 11.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per game for the Hornets. Over their last five games, the Rockets have allowed an average of 48.0 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards.

Center

Top Play: Nikola Vucevic, vs. PHI ($7,400)

I was on the Vucevic train for Tuesday night and wasn’t disappointed one bit! In that game, he blew it up for out lineups, going for 14 points, 19 rebounds, four assists and three steals in 30 minutes versus the Rockets. So far this year, Vucevic has managed to average a nice 32.36 FD points per game for his owners. Over their last five games, the Sixer has allowed a league-worst 63.8 FD points per outing to opposing centers.

Value Pick: Clint Capela, @ CHA ($5,200)

Right now, Charlotte’s post players are a bit banged up, so Capela could flourish on the boards for this slate. So far this season, he’s managed to average a decent 25.04 FD points per game for his owners. This year, Capela is averaging 12.1 points and 7.7 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per game for the Rockets. This season, the Hornets have given up an average of 48.6 FD points per outing to opposing centers.

Well, those are my NBA DFS value plays for the 2/9/16 slate of games. Hopefully, with my advice, you guys will prosper on Thursday night. Thanks for reading and good luck, everyone!
