NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for 3/23/17

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back with my free NBA DFS FanDuel advice for the 3/23/17 slate of games. Thursday’s main slate will consist of a solid five-game schedule. I still see plenty of solid plays to choose from, especially on the value side. In this article, I’m going to give you guys a couple of nice plays to roll with for each position, so let’s get started!

Point Guards

Top Play: Goran Dragic, vs. TOR ($8,000)

I think that Dragic will be a very serviceable point guard option for this slate in a must-win game against Toronto. So far this year, he’s averaging 20.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 33.2 minutes per game for the Heat. This season, Dragic has managed to average a smooth 36.1 FPPG for his owners and draws a decent matchup for Thursday evening. Over their last five games, the Raptors have allowed an average of 51.2 FD points per contest to opposing point guards.

Value Pick: Spencer Dinwiddie, vs. PHO ($4,600)

I firmly believe that there will be a ton of value coming from the Brooklyn side of the ball for this slate of games. Dinwiddie drew the start on Tuesday night, going for 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 30 minutes of action for the Nets. So far this season, he’s managed to average a moderate 16.9 FPPG for his owners but does carry plenty of upside in this matchup. This year, the Suns have given up an average of 51.5 FD points per outing to opposing point guards.

Shooting Guards

Top Play: C.J. McCollum, vs. NYK ($7,800)

The shooting guard spot always seems to be hard to pick for DFS purposes but I do feel like C.J. will be a killer play for Thursday night. So far this year, he’s managed to average a cool 36.2 FPPG for his loyal owners. This season, McCollum has averaged 23.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 35.1 minutes per game for the Blazers. This year, the Knicks have allowed an average of 42.3 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards.

Value Pick: Caris LeVert, vs. PHO (4,300)

Like I said earlier, this Brooklyn squad is full of decent value plays in a stellar matchup versus Phoenix. So far this season, the Suns have given up an average of 41.4 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards. The minutes have been there recently for LeVert, playing right around 25 over the last ten games for the Nets. In four of his last six outings, LeVert has scored 21+ FPPG for his owners.

Small Forwards

Top Play: T.J. Warren, @ BKN ($6,600)

I love Warren for this slate in a stellar matchup against a terrible Brooklyn perimeter defense! So far this season, the Nets have allowed a league-worst 47.9 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards. This year, Warren has averaged 13.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 30.3 minutes per game for the Suns. In three of his last four games, T.J. has scored 34+ FPPG for his owners and will easily exceed value for this slate.

Value Pick: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, vs. PHO ($4,300)

I may insert at least three of these Brooklyn guys into some of my lineups for this slate of games! So far this year, the Suns have given up an average of 40.5 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. Yes, Phoenix has been much better against the position as of late but I still like the potential value here. Hollis-Jefferson has played 25+ minutes in three of his last four games, so he’ll have a shot to be a value.

Power Forwards

Top Play: Kristaps Porzingis, @ POR ($7,000)

I think that Blake Griffin will be a fine play at $9,000 but I’d rather save the money and roll with Kristaps. So far this season, Porzingis has managed to average a solid 35.0 FPPG for his loyal owners and draws a juicy matchup for this slate. Over their last five games, the Blazers have allowed an average of 57.5 FD points per outing to opposing power forwards. This year, Porzingis has averaged 18.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 32.5 minutes per game for the Knicks. Also, Carmelo Anthony will see his minutes restricted, which give Kristaps even more upside.

Value Pick: Noah Vonleh, vs. NYK ($3,800)

Vonleh has put together some really solid outings over the last week for Portland and will do well in this matchup. Over his last four games, he’s scored 21+ FPPG for his loyal owners. During that time span, Vonleh has played at least 26 minutes per outing for the Blazers and draws a tasty matchup for Thursday night. So far this year, the Knicks have given up an average of 45.5 FD points per outing to opposing power forwards.

Centers

Top Play: Jusuf Nurkic, vs. NYK ($7,600)

Nurkic will have no problem whatsoever dominating the glass for Thursday’s main slate of games! So far this season, he’s managed to average a smooth 23.7 FPPG for his DFS owners. Over his last four outings, Nurkic has scored 37+ FPPG for the Blazers and will be in a ton of my lineups for this slate. Over their last five games, the Knicks have allowed an average of 60.5 FD points per contest to opposing centers.

Value Pick: Jonas Valanciunas, @ MIA ($5,300)

There is nothing better than getting a starting player at a reduced price tag! If Hassan Whiteside misses this game for Miami, Jonas should feast in the post for Toronto. So far this season, Valancinuas has averaged 12.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in 25.6 minutes per game for the Raptors. This year, he’s managed to average a cool 27.2 FPPG for his loyal owners. This season, the Heat have given up an average of 48.0 FD points per contest to opposing centers.

Well, those are my NBA DFS value plays for the 3/23/17 slate of games. Hopefully, with my advice, you guys will prosper on Thursday night. Thanks for reading and good luck, everyone!
