NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Lineup – Week 14 (Main Slate – 14 Games 12/11/16)

Each week, I’ll create a cash game lineup for DraftKings. Since this is usually posted by Wednesday, the cash game lineups may change slightly by Sunday.

In cash games, you should always look for each player to reach at least 3x value.

DraftKings Points/(Player Salary/1000) = Value

Example: If Carson Wentz has a $5,000 salary and scored 15 DraftKings (DK) points, Wentz would reach 3x value based on the formula below.

15 DK Points/($5,000/1,000) = 3x Value

I will also present a 3x stat line. The 3x stat line is not a projection, but a hypothetical stat line that would allow the player to reach three times his value. When creating your own cash game lineup, choose players who you believe can reach the 3x stat line. If you look at a player and don’t think he can reach the 3x stat line, consider choosing a different option in your own lineup.

Week 13 Lineup Review

Our Week 13 lineup did well. On Sunday morning, I mentioned I was pivoting from Marquess Wilson to Anquan Boldin, which worked out since Wilson got hurt in the first quarter and didn’t return. Our lineup scored 157.34 DK points and cashed in all the 50/50s I entered. See last week’s lineup below.

NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Lineup – Week 14

QB – Jameis Winston vs. (NO) – $6,700

The Buccaneers have the highest team total on the slate and face the Saints who are 26th against the pass (all defensive rankings are from Football Outsiders DVOA). There is a chance this game turns into a shootout as the game also has the highest over/under of the week. Winston seems fairly safe, and this is also a way to get access to Mike Evans while still being able to afford top running backs.

3x stat line: 275 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 2 carries, 11 rushing yards = 20.1 DK Points

RB – Jeremy Hill at (CLE) – $5,800

Hill has 43 touches over the past two weeks and has eight receptions. While he’s averaging under two yards per carry during that stretch, the Browns are 29th against the run which should help boost his efficiency. The Bengals are favored by five so the game script sets up nicely for a power back like Hill.

3x stat line: 18 carries, 89 rushing yards, 2 catches, 5 receiving yards, 1 rushing touchdown = 17.4 DK Points

RB – Le’Veon Bell at (BUF) – $9,000

Bell has at least 118 rushing yards and at least 26.2 DK points in each of his last three games. He averages 25.8 DK points per game and has an incredible floor each week due to his receiving. Bell has been held under five catches only once this season.

3x stat line: 18 carries, 85 rushing yards, 6 catches, 65 receiving yards, 1 total touchdown = 27.0 DK Points

WR – Tyrell Williams at (CAR) – $6,100

Williams averages 21.4 DK points per game since week 4 in games not against than the Broncos. Last week’s four targets were the second fewest he’s seen this season and he still finished with 12.7 DK points. The Panthers rank 18th against the pass and Williams has a touchdown in four straight contests.

3x stat line: 6 catches, 63 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown = 18.3 DK Points

WR – Michael Floyd at (MIA) – $3,900

Floyd saw eight targets last week, his most since week 3. He played on 92% of his snaps (all snap percentages are from Football Outsiders), higher than J.J. Nelson (45%) and John Brown (28%). He also scored last week, yet his price dropped $300.

3x stat line: 5 catches 67 receiving yards = 11.7 DK Points

WR – Robby Anderson at (SF) – $3,000

Anderson played on 81% of snaps last week, and saw 12 targets. I hate the idea of playing the Jets 3rd wide receiver, but his connection with Bryce Petty was clear on Monday night. He doesn’t need much to pay off his salary so I’m fine with the risk.

3x stat line: 4 catches, 50 receiving yards = 9.0 DK Points

TE – Jason Witten at (NYG) – $3,100

The Giants defense ranks 5th against the run, 5th against running back receptions, 6th against WR1s, 6th against WR2, 9th against other WRs, and 27th against tight ends. There is a clear weakness in their defense, and it benefits Witten immensely. Witten had 14 targets and nine receptions when these two teams played in week 1, and his price has dropped $1,000 since then.

3x stat line: 5 catches, 43 receiving yards = 9.3 DK Points

FLEX – David Johnson at (MIA) – $9,800

Just play him. He’s good.

3x stat line: 18 carries, 105 rushing yards, 5 receptions, 49 receiving yards, 1 total touchdown = 29.4 DK Points

D/ST – Indianapolis D/ST vs. (HOU) – $2,600

The Colts are favored at home and get to face Brock Osweiler. The Colts defense has played better lately, and with Lamar Miller banged up, I assume the Texans will try to lean on the pass a little more, which is good for sacks and turnovers.

3x stat line: 14-20 points against, 3 sacks, 2 total turnovers = 8.0 DK Points (3.1x)
