NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 10

The NFL season is just whipping by with Week 10 fast approaching. There are 14 games scheduled this week, including the Thursday night slate. Even with Indianapolis, Buffalo, Detroit, and Oakland all on byes this week, there are a lot of matchups we like this week. Here’s a look at out top GPP plays on DraftKings for Week 10.

NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 10

DailyFantasyNerd DraftKings GPP Play of the Day

RB David Johnson (ARI) vs. SF $8,400

David Johnson is as matchup proof as it comes, and the 49ers are just awful on defense. Just last week, both Mark Ingram and Tim Hightower ripped through the defense of San Francisco, combining for 245 yards just on the ground. Like most running backs this year when facing the 49ers, Johnson too had his way in Week 5 when he rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns. With weekly projections for Johnson ranging from 25-28 points in PPR formats, an encore performance is to be expected.

Quarterbacks

Aaron Rodgers (GB) @ TEN $7,600

The Packers look to be on a downward spiral as a team, but it’s not hurting Aaron Rodgers’ fantasy appeal at all. In fact, it’s improving it. With Ty Montgomery still running as the lead back, Green Bay doesn’t have a real threat in the run game. Therefore, Rodgers and the Packers have had to heavily rely on the passing game. In the past three games, Rodgers has thrown 10 TD passes and has averaged 29.6 fantasy points on DraftKings.

Carson Palmer (ARI) vs. SF $6,500

Loading up on Cardinals players this week doesn’t sound like a bad idea. The 49ers rank in the bottom 10 in almost every category, and are the type of team we like to exploit in fantasy. Arizona is sure to have success in the run game, but the same should be expected from Carson Palmer under center. Fresh off the bye week, Palmer is strapped in for a big game on Sunday after missing the first contest between these two teams.

Other Notables: Philip Rivers (SD) vs. MIA $6,700, Eli Manning (NYG) vs. CIN $5,900, Marcus Mariota (TEN) vs. GB $5,700

Running Backs

Ezekiel Elliott (DAL) @ PIT $7,900

Elliott is having a phenomenal rookie season with a full grip on Offensive Rookie of the Year. Like David Johnson, he’s become trusting enough to be declared matchup proof. The Steelers rank 29th against running backs, despite bottling up Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon last week. With all due respect to those guys, they don’t light a candle to Elliott’s ability. Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi burst onto the scene with the first of his 200-yard performance coming against the Steelers in Week 6. That may be a bit of a reach, but another big game for Elliott is in store.

Jay Ajayi (MIA) @ SD $7,000

Speaking of Jay Ajayi, he has a pretty good matchup himself. Ajayi has been at the centerpiece of the Dolphins turnaround for about a month now. After back-to-back performances for 200 yards, Ajayi rushed for over 100 yards against a stingy Jets defense in Week 9. The Dolphins have put all of their focus into the run game, and they are seeing success. Before Week 6, Ajayi had not amassed more than 42 yards in any game. Since then, Ajayi has been given a heavy workload with no less than 26 touches and no less than 111 yards rushing. The Chargers defense ranks 30th in the league against running backs so expect more of the same from Ajayi and the Dolphins this week.

Other Notables: Melvin Gordon (SD) vs. MIA $7,100, DeMarco Murray (TEN) vs. GB $6,900, Jordan Howard (CHI) @ TB $6,000

Wide Receivers

Mike Evans (TB) vs. CHI $9,000

Mike Evans still needs to pass the concussion protocol, but based on reports from early this week he’s expected to play. If he does, he’ll get a juicy matchup against Chicago. The Bears rank last against wide receivers, and Evans is coming off his best game of the season. Against Atlanta, Evans caught 11 receptions for 150 yards and two touchdowns. He’s seen no less than 11 targets in any contest since Week 2. Keep track on Evans status throughout the week, but if he goes he’s a virtual lock for mass production.

Jordy Nelson (GB) @ TEN $7,500

Jordy Nelson has recorded 94 yards in back-to-back weeks, and is starting to look like #1 receiver in Green Bay again. There’s so much to go around in the Packers offense that even with Randall Cobb and Davante Adams in the mix, it doesn’t effect Nelson’s production enough to warrant concern. Nelson has now seen 22 targets total in the past two games, and scored in each. With virtually no running game, you can expect to see Nelson with double digit targets again this week.

Other Notables: A.J. Green (CIN) @ NYG $8,500, Jordan Matthews (PHI) vs. ATL $5,900, Tyrell Williams (SD) vs. MIA $5,700

Tight Ends

Jordan Reed (WAS) vs. MIN $6,200

Usually streaming at a position so thin can be tough. Thankfully, there are some good options this week to exploit at tight end. That includes Jordan Reed against the Vikings defense. While we wouldn’t dare touch a matchup against Minnesota in the first five weeks of the season, the Vikings don’t look like the same team in their past three games. The defense is not necessarily giving up huge numbers to opposing offenses, but they are giving up big plays to top players. Reed is, arguably, Washington’s best receiver with at least eight receptions in the last three games he’s played.

Lance Kendricks (LA) @ NYJ $3,000

Lance Kendricks is becoming the silent sleeper in LA. He has now finished with double digit fantasy points in three straight games, and four of the last five. Kendricks has been a nice safety net for Case Keenum during his struggles. This week, the Rams face off against the Jets, who allowed 42 yards and a touchdown to an unknown Dominique Jones in a Week 9 loss to the Dolphins. With Keenum continuing to struggle, and the Rams standing by him, look for Kendricks to again see a lot of looks.

Other Notables: Travis Kelce (KC) @ CAR $5,600, Delanie Walker (TEN) vs. GB $4,600, Zach Ertz (PHI) vs. ATL $3,700

Defense

Arizona vs. SF $3,700

The Cardinals against the 49ers looks to be the most appealing in a week where there don’t appear to be a lot of great defensive streaming options. This game is expected to be a blowout, which could lead to a lapse from the Cardinals defense giving up meaningless points, particularly in garbage time. However, it’s worth betting that the 49ers offense will commit mistakes, and the Cardinals defense should be able to capitalize off those mistakes. In their first meeting, the Cardinals created three turnovers in addition to seven sacks.

Other Notables: Washington vs. MIN $3,000
