NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 13

There are 15 games scheduled for Week 13 of the NFL season. It is an important week for league play as this is the regular season finale in the majority of fantasy leagues. While many fantasy players will maintain their focus on ensuring a playoff spot, there are considerable DFS options on DraftKings for GPP tournaments. So even if you are out of the playoff picture in your league, there are still ways to come out a winner! Here are some suggested GPP options on DraftKings for Week 13.

NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 13

DailyFantasyNerd DraftKings GPP Play of the Day

RB Doug Martin (TB) @ SD $5,700

Doug Martin has averaged just 2.9 yards per carry since his return from a hamstring injury that caused him to miss six games. He has had to go up against some pretty good run defenses since his return, but now gets to go up against the Chargers, who rank 28th against running backs on DraftKings. Martin’s volume remains relatively high, and this could be his opportunity for a big game and to eclipse 100 yards rushing for the first time this season. His involvement in the passing game, particularly with Charles Sims still on the shelf, also helps boost his value.

Quarterbacks

Drew Brees (NO) vs. DET $7,600

As is usually the case, Drew Brees has been a fantasy machine at home this season. He’s even made improvements on the road. He now leads all quarterbacks with 26.1 fantasy points per game after his five total touchdowns last week against the Rams. While a repeat performance is a stretch, Brees is in another great spot against the Lions weak secondary. This is expected to be an uptempo game with a lot of opportunities for fantasy production.

Tyrod Taylor (BUF) @ OAK $5,700

A great value play this week is Tyrod Taylor against the Raiders. It’s well known that a large part of Taylor’s production comes on the ground. So far this season he’s rushed for 439 yards and five touchdowns. There’s a very good chance he finds success both on the ground and in the air in a very important matchup for the Bills. The Raiders continue winning, and are now tied atop the AFC, but the defense continues to be the weak link on the team. Oakland’s defense is allowing 25 points per game, and rank in the bottom 10 against both the run and pass. In a game that the Bills desperately need, Taylor could have a breakout performance.

Other Notables: Matthew Stafford (DET) @ NO $7,000, Matt Ryan (ATL) vs. KC $6,800, Jameis Winston (TB) @ SD $6,200

Running Backs

Jordan Howard (CHI) vs. SF $6,900

Howard has been the workhorse of the Bears for the better part of the season now. While he only has three total touchdowns to this point, Howard and the Bears get to face a team that on paper is even worse than them. Chicago has had to abandon the run in previous games because they fall behind so often, but this is a game that the Bears have a chance to win. The 49ers have been better against running backs in the last two weeks, but their defense remains horrific. His huge jump in salary could turn some players away, but Howard’s ceiling has never been higher than it is this week.

Matt Forte (NYJ) vs. IND $5,900

Forte’s involvement in his first year with the Jets has been a head-scratcher and a bit of a roller coaster. Surely the Jets are just being cautious with their lead back, but with an extra day of preparation this week, they could decide to unleash him against the Colts on Monday night. Indianapolis is giving up 116.3 yards a game rushing and over 27 points a game overall. Forte and the Jets will look to play spoilers on the Colts playoff chances.

Other Notables: Mark Ingram (NO) vs. DET $6,000, Theo Riddick (DET) @ NO $5,800

Wide Receivers

DeVante Parker (MIA) @ BAL $5,600

DeVante Parker is beginning to emerge as Miami’s #1 receiver over Jarvis Landry. Parker had two terrific games against San Diego and Los Angeles, and would have had another great game last week against the 49ers had it not been for two overturned calls against him. His big play ability has caught the attention of QB Ryan Tannehill. The Ravens give up just 223 passing yards a game, but opportunities for receptions will certainly be there in what is expected to be a close game. Parker’s status needs to be monitored after he left last week’s game with back soreness, although he is expected to be fine.

Sammy Watkins (BUF) @ OAK $5,500

Watkins status also needs to be monitored for this week with soreness in his foot, but this should come at no surprise at this point in his career. Should he go, Watkins could be in line for a big day against Oakland. Watkins was impressive in his first game back last week against a pretty good Jaguars secondary in a limited role. As long as he his healthy, Watkins is expected to have an even bigger role in a more favorable matchup.

Tyreek Hill (KC) @ ATL $4,600

If there was ever an NFL version of hitting for the cycle, Hill accomplished it last week when he scored touchdowns receiving, rushing, and returning. Hill has emerged as Kansas City’s top receiver since the absence of Jeremy Maclin. There is the chance that Maclin returns this week, but Hill has done enough to supplant him as the #1 receiver. The Falcons subpar defense is a juicy matchup for Hill to continue his hot streak.

Other Notables: Brandon Marshall (NYJ) vs. IND $6,900, Donte Moncrief (IND) @ NYJ $6,600, Golden Tate (DET) @ NO $6,200

Tight Ends

Travis Kelce (KC) @ ATL $4,700

Kelce has also benefited in Maclin’s absence. Alex Smith has leaned heavily on his tight end as his most trusted receiver with Maclin out. Kelce has eclipsed 100 yards receiving in consecutive games now. He has not scored in the past four games, but he’ll get a chance to do just that against the Falcons, who rank 27th against tight ends.

Other Notables: Jimmy Graham (SEA) vs. CAR $5,500, Greg Olsen (CAR) @ SEA $5,100, Eric Ebron (DET) @ NO $3,900

Defense

Denver @ JAX $3,900

The best options on defense this week also happen to be the most expensive so adjust your salaries accordingly. The Broncos defense has taken a dip compared to last year, but they still remain one of the better defenses in the league. In fact, their pass defense is tops in the league. This could mean disaster for Blake Bortles and company on Sunday. The Jaguars have lost six in a row with virtually nothing to play for at this point. They average just 96.3 rushing yards a game, meaning they will once again rely on the arm of Bortles. His history of interceptions and mistakes in this regressing season are likely to carry over against this tough Broncos defense.

Other Notables: New England vs. LA $3,700
