Welcome to the Week 16 edition of GoingFor2’s NFL DFS DraftKings GPP plays. There are only two weeks remaining in the regular season, and league championships are the hot topic of the week. Kudos to those of you who made it all the way to the end. For those that fell short, you still have a chance to be a winner, but time is running out. Here’s my suggestions for some of the top GPP options on DraftKings this week.
NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 16

RB Jordan Howard (CHI) vs. WAS $6,300
Howard has been outstanding as of late. Totaling at least 99 yards in five consecutive games now, Howard has emphasized himself as the key Bears player to own, and a reliable running back to own week-to-week. Despite the consistent production, Howard’s price tag continues to linger in the $6,000-$6,500 range. That’s great for GPP, however, as he is in another great position to eclipse 20 fantasy points against a Redskins team that’s been bad against running backs and will be just five days removed from their Monday night loss.
Quarterbacks
Jameis Winston (TB) @ NO $6,500
Lack of touchdown passes is what typically makes Winston a less appealing fantasy option. The fact that Winston didn’t throw for any when the Bucs met the Saints two weeks ago is likely to keep his ownership at a low level on Saturday. However, I think Winston is going to breakout in a big way this week. Even though the Bucs defense has been terrific in recent weeks, I have a gut feeling this is going to be a shootout, and the complete opposite of their game in Tampa. Winston will benefit from a game like this that he is sure to be fired up for, in hopes to lead the Bucs to the playoffs.
Tyrod Taylor (BUF) vs. MIA $5,400
Taylor likely could’ve put in a better performance last week against Cleveland had the weather not played a factor. The run game with LeSean McCoy was too successful, and the game eventually got out of hand. Not that the weather is expected to be much better this week, Taylor has another great opportunity against Miami. He’s had a lot of success against the Dolphins in the past, particularly with his legs. With this game having major playoff implications, the Bills could put the ball more in Taylor’s hands.

Running Backs
Carlos Hyde (SF) @ LA $5,800
While I almost like Todd Gurley on the other end of this game, his $6,500 asking price is just ridiculous, regardless of the matchup. I’d rather pay $700 less for Hyde, whose been highly productive as of late. He was also much more efficient when these two teams played in Week 1. Gurley was one of the few running backs the 49ers were able to control this season. Hyde, on the other hand, had one of his best games of the season, and has been a much more productive player, particularly when he’s fully healthy. Given how the season has played out for both players production since then, I don’t expect anything different.
Doug Martin (TB) @ NO $5,400
Martin hasn’t quite been the explosive player fantasy owners were hoping for since his return. Last week, he finished with only 42 yards on 16 carries, and was not involved in the passing game. That kind of performance could keep his ownership down this week. However, with the Bucs traveling to New Orleans, Martin is in great position to bounce back. He scored his most fantasy points of the year against them two weeks ago, and Jameis Winston could look to get him more involved in the passing game.

Wide Receivers
Michael Crabtree (OAK) vs. IND $6,100
The Colts-Raiders showdown should be a good one this week, and a great game for fantasy purposes as well. Both defenses have improved over recent weeks, but a shootout is very possible. While Amari Cooper is always an option, I prefer the cheaper option in Crabtree. It has been hard to judge these two throughout the season since they seem to seesaw back and forth over who gets the ball more. Crabtree, however, has started to have some consistency, scoring at least 18 fantasy points in 3 of the last 4 games. Both him and Cooper have a nice floor with a potentially high ceiling in this all important matchup.
Dontrelle Inman (SD) @ CLE $6,000
Inman has at least 43 yards in six consecutive games now, and has a beautiful matchup against the Browns pitiful defense. His $6,000 price tag is his highest of the season, but it’s not enough for me to shy away from. The lack of touchdowns on the season is concerning, but Inman did score in three consecutive games before last week. Against the Browns, I wouldn’t be surprised if he recorded his first multiple touchdown game of the season.
Kenny Britt (LA) vs. SF $5,700
While Gurley has been a major disappointment in LA this year, Kenny Britt has quietly been the more consistent option on the team. Similar to Inman, Britt has at least 43 yards in every game since Week 4, and no less than 38 on the year. More importantly, he’s found some chemistry with QB Jared Goff. A home matchup against the 49ers looks like an early Christmas present for his fantasy production.

Tight Ends
Eric Ebron (DET) @ DAL $3,600
Ebron has been somewhat frustrating for fantasy owners this season. Even though he has four receptions in his last three games, which is about what you can expect from tight ends, he hasn’t found the end zone since Week 1. Still, Ebron has seen at least five targets in every game but one so far. The Cowboys rank 26th against tight ends, and in a game that Detroit needs badly in order to win their division, the Lions could rely heavily on their tight end.

Defense
Green Bay vs. MIN $3,300
After going through a stretch allowing 30+ points in four consecutive games, the Packers defense has done a great job in turning things around. In their last four games, Green Bay’s defense has amassed 12 turnovers and 10 sacks. Both teams are going in opposite directions, with the Packers now looking for a playoff berth, and the Vikings chances looking bleak after a 5-0 start. The Vikings are fresh off their 34-6 defeat at the hands of the Colts, and may be throwing in the towel on the last two games of the season. Green Bay could capitalize in a home blowout.
