Week three kicked off Thursday with the Cleveland Browns ending their 635-day winless drought. Hopefully, you haven’t suffered the same fate in DFS, but in case you have, here are some good plays to make some cash this weekend.
The DailyFantasyNerd FanDuel/DraftKings Cash Picks Week Three
Quarterbacks
Kirk Cousins (MIN) VS BUF $8,600 FD/$6,800 DK
Lines vary from site to site, but no matter where you look, the Viking’s are two touchdowns plus favorites. Last week, Phillip Rivers rolled into Buffalo and went 23/27 for 256 yards and three touchdowns. You can bank on the fourth quarter being all garbage time, but with Dalvin Cook already ruled out, Cousins will rack up points in the first three quarters.
Other Plays-
Patrick Mahomes (KC) VS SF- $8,900 FD/$7,000 DK
Riding the hot hand is the boring play. But this guy has thrown 10 touchdowns in two weeks and is at home against a defense that ranks 28th against QB’s so far this season.
Drew Brees (NO) AT ATL- $8,500 FD/$6,400 DK
Atlanta is ranked 22nd against opposing QB’s and this is Drew Brees in a dome. Enough said.
Running Backs
Matt Breida (SF) AT KC- $6,200 FD/$5,400 DK
On either platform, Breida is averaging at least 14 FPPG this season so far. The Chiefs defense is bad this year, and they are ranked 31st against opposing running backs. At this price, Breida is a must own.

Other Plays-
Alvin Kamara (NO) AT ATL- $8,700 FD/$9,500 DK
Kamara is the second piece in my New Orleans stack play this week. He’s averaging 30+ FPPG this season, Atlanta’s defense is beaten up and subpar, and this stack is worth playing.
Chris Thompson (WAS) VS GB- $6,500 FD/$6,300 DK
Thompson has been everything Crowder has not been so far. This is a fair price, and while the matchup isn’t a home run, I will take the cost vs the point production we’ve seen from Thompson so far this season.
Wide Receivers
All Three of these guys are apart of my three recommended stack plays this week.
Michael Thomas (NO) AT ATL- $9,000 FD/$8,900 DK
Michael Thomas is on pace for 200+ receptions this year. Obviously, that won’t happen, but you should get the point. My first stack play this week is Brees-Kamara-Thomas. I love this matchup, these three, and them being in a dome.
Stefon Diggs (MIN) VS BUF- $8,300 FD/$7,700 DK
Stefon Diggs is part of two of my stack plays this week. I went through why I love this matchup, and Diggs is averaging 25+ FPPG this year.
Adam Thielen (MIN) VS BUF- $8,200 FD/$7,800 DK
Thielen rounds out my first Minnesota stack and second stack this week. Cousins-Diggs- Thielen. Thielen is averaging 25+ FPPG as well, and almost for the last time, I love this matchup.
Bonus Mention-
Allen Robinson (CHI) @ ARI- $5,400 FD/$5,400 DK
14 FPPG this year and playing the lowly Cardinals in ideal conditions for a reasonable WR1 price.

Tight Ends
Kyle Rudolph (MIN) VS BUF- $5,900 FD/$4,100 DK
This rounds out my last stack this week of Cousins-Diggs-Rudolph. I like him as a red-zone target with the running game may be taking a step back with no Cook, and Buffalo is 26th against tight ends this year. Plus, maybe you heard, I love this matchup.
Jared Cook (OAK) AT MIA- $5,600 FD/$4,000 DK
Cook has been dynamite this year, averaging nearly 20 FPPG. Miami’s defense has been good but is still ranked 18th against tight ends.
Defense
Chicago Bears AT ARI- $4,300 FD/$3,500 DK
The Arizona offense is a mess. Take the opposing defense until further notice.
