NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Plays for Week 4

Welcome to the Week 4 edition of the NFL DFS FanDuel GPPs plays. Week 4 is a smaller slate since teams are beginning to have their bye weeks and there is a game in London, which kicks off in the morning local time. There weren’t nearly as many key injuries in Week 3, but roster construction is still pretty easy to accomplish this week. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my favorite GPP options for Week 4.

NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Plays for Week 4

DailyFantasyNerd FanDuel GPP Play of the Day

Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) vs. KC $8,400

Ben Roethlisberger is my DailyFantasyNerd FanDuel GPP play of the day for Week 4. The Steelers are going to be hungry in Week 4 after essentially getting shut down by the Eagles in Week 3. On paper, the Chiefs’ defense looks scary, but they play much better at home than they do on the road. Big Ben will likely be under-owned since the Chiefs’ defense forced eight turnovers last week, but that had more to do with a historically bad performance by Ryan Fitzpatrick than it did with the Chiefs.

Quarterbacks

Carson Palmer (ARI) vs. LA $8,000

Carson Palmer is another quarterback who struggled in Week 3, but there are not many quarterbacks that have as much upside as he does when he is on his game. The Cardinals currently have a healthy team total of 25 in Vegas and Palmer will likely have low ownership in GPPs this week.

Dak Prescott (DAL) @ SF $7,200

Dak Prescott has looked excellent through three NFL games and he has a great matchup against the 49ers in Week 4. I believe we could see his highest fantasy output yet this week since the pace of the game will be much faster than the first three games he has played. Also, the Cowboys do not have a great defense, so I could really see this game going back and forth with Prescott racking up the yards and potentially scoring multiple touchdowns.

Running Backs

Carlos Hyde (SF) vs. DAL $6,800

Carlos Hyde had a great game in Week 3 in an extremely difficult matchup, with 103 rushing yards on 21 attempts while scoring two touchdowns. In Week 4 he will have a much better matchup against the Cowboys, who have yet to face a talented running back this season. The sky’s the limit for Hyde in Chip Kelly’s offense and I sense another huge game for Hyde in Week 4.

Mark Ingram (NO) @ SD $6,800

Mark Ingram bounced back for a good  game in Week 3 against the Falcons and I believe that performance is more indicative to what we will see for the rest of the season. Ingram has a great matchup in Week 4 against the Chargers, who have struggled to stop the run over the past couple of seasons. Ingram is an absolute steal this salary, so I will probably be locking Ingram into all of my lineups this week.

Dwayne Washington (DET) @ CHI  $4,500

I am willing to roll the dice here in one of my GPP lineups this week and use Dwayne Washington. Washington was much more efficient than Theo Riddick in Week 3 against the Packers and I am predicting that he will get a heavier workload this week in a great matchup against the Bears. The Bears have allowed 142.7 yards per game through three weeks this season.

Wide Receivers

Julio Jones (ATL) vs. CAR $8,500

Julio Jones will likely be extremely low owned since he put up a dud against the Saints on Monday night and now he has a tough matchup against the Panthers. The Panthers do have a solid defensive unit, but they no longer have a shutdown cornerback. Jones torched the Panthers in Week 16 last season with nine receptions, 178 yards and a touchdown. He is definitely capable of doing the same this time around too.

DeSean Jackson (WAS) vs. CLE $6,900

DeSean Jackson is a perfect boom-or-bust player for GPP contests. He is big play dependent and is capable of scoring the big touchdown. He has a great matchup in Week 4 against the Browns, who have allowed six touchdowns to wide receivers already this season.

Emmanuel Sanders (DEN) @ TB $6,900

Emmanuel Sanders has clearly been Trevor Siemian’s favorite target in this offense considering that Sanders has led the Broncos in targets in each of the first three games. Although it has only been three games, the Buccaneers have been awful against the pass allowing multiple passing touchdowns in each game. I don’t think that the Bucs will turn things around this week, so there is a great chance that Sanders finds the endzone for the second consecutive week.

Tight Ends

Zach Miller (CHI) vs. DET $5,000

Zach Miller racked up a lot of garbage time points in the second half of Sunday’s night game against the Cowboys. If Brian Hoyer starts again, I could see him leaning on Miller once again. Also, Miller has an outstanding matchup against the Lions, who have allowed five touchdowns to tight ends already this season. Even the Packers targeted their tight ends in the red zone in Week 3, and they are not an offense known for utilizing their tight ends.

Dennis Pitta (BAL) vs. OAK $5,400

Dennis Pitta was highly owned in Week 3, but I don’t anticipate his ownership being nearly as high this week since there are other solid, cheaper options available. Pitta has an outstanding matchup against the Raiders, who have been awful at defending tight ends since the beginning of last season.

Defense

Jets (NYJ) vs. SEA $4,400

If Russell Wilson ends up playing in Week 4, the Jets’ defense could potentially be a sneaky option for GPPs. Wilson is dependent on his mobility and he is nowhere close to 100% right now. The Jets actually have a solid front seven and have potential to rack up a ton of sacks this week.

Broncos (DEN) at TEN $5,200

The Broncos will not likely be a popular option in Week 4 since they are expensive and there are other cheaper defenses in great spots. However, the Broncos do have the best defensive unit in the league and Jameis Winston has struggled in difficult matchups during his young career.
