NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Plays for Week 7

Welcome to the Week 7 edition of the NFL DFS FanDuel GPP plays. This article will focus on the main slate on FanDuel, which has 12 games this week. Just as a reminder, this article is not meant to be an actual FanDuel GPP lineup, but rather an article focusing on some good stand alone options for your GPP lineup. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my favorite GPP options for Week 7.

NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Plays for Week 7

DailyFantasyNerd GPP Play of the Week

Marqise Lee (JAC) vs. OAK $4,500
Marqise Lee is my DailyFantasyNerd FanDuel GPP Play of the Day for Week 7. Over the past four weeks, he has had at least six targets in each game and at least five receptions in three of those games. If he can just find the endzone once against the putrid Raiders’ secondary, he could be a difference maker in your GPP contest.

Quarterbacks

Marcus Mariota (TEN) vs. IND $7,900

Marcus Mariota has been solid the past couple of weeks with three touchdowns in each of his past two games. In addition to finding the end zone, Mariota has ran the ball more with seven rushing attempts in each of the past two games for a total of 124 rushing yards. Mariota has a great matchup against  the Colts in Week 7, and if he continues to run the ball he will have tremendous upside for GPP contests.

Colin Kaepernick (SF) vs. TB $6,500

Colin Kaepernick did not look spectacular throwing the ball in his season debut with only 187 passing yards and only completing 13 of his 29 passing attempts. However, he did run eight times for 66 yards. Kaepernick has a much easier matchup against the Buccaneers in Week 7 and if he continues to run the ball, he will have good upside for GPPs.

Running Backs

David Johnson (ARI) vs. SEA $8,500

David Johnson is making a strong case for being the best running back in all of football right now after scoring three touchdowns and gaining 138 yards on 22 carries and three receptions in Week 6. His matchup against the Seahawks is not going to be easy, but teams have had some success at running the football against the Seahawks. In Week 3, Carlos Hyde ran for over 100 yards and scored two touchdowns in Seattle. David Johnson is more talented than Hyde and could do just as much damage this week at low ownership in GPPs.

Jamaal Charles (KC) vs. NO $6,800
Many DFS players will likely pay up for Spencer Ware for $200 more, meaning Jamaal Charles should be low owned. Even if Charles splits the carries evenly with Ware, he is more than capable of doing enough damage against the Saints, who have allowed the most FanDuel points to running backs this season.

Jeremy Hill (CIN) vs. CLE  $6,800
Jeremy Hill is not a consistent running back for FanDuel, but sometimes you can predict when a game will favor him. The Bengals should be able to easily handle the Browns in Week 7, so Hill should see the bulk of the carries once the Bengals get out to a huge lead. Not a lot DFS players understand this, so Hill could very well be a sneaky GPP option this week.

Wide Receivers

Allen Robinson (JAC) vs. OAK $8,400

If you do not use Marqise Lee in your GPP lineup, consider using his teammate Allen Robinson. Robinson had a down game in Week 6, against an underrated Bears’ defense. Robinson should be able to bounce back this week against the Raiders, who have allowed the second-most FanDuel points to wide receivers this season. Also, Robinson will likely be low owned in GPPs since there are several top dollar receiver options in favorable matchups.

DeSean Jackson (WAS) @ DET $6,500

DeSean Jackson only had four receptions for 55 yards in Week 6, but he could have had a massive game if he did not drop a 32 yard touchdown. If Jordan Reed is out again, Jackson could have a huge game against the Lions, who have allowed nine receiving touchdowns to wide receivers this season.

Brandon Marshall (NYJ) vs. BAL $7,400
With Eric Decker out for the season, Brandon Marshall should see a heavy dosage of targets for the remainder of the season. Also, many people will probably be scared to use him since the Jets are turning to Geno Smith at quarterback. Even with Smith at quarterback, Marshall should be able to do some damage against the Ravens, who have allowed the third-most FanDuel points to wide receivers this season.

Tight Ends

Rob Gronkowski (NE) @ PIT $8,500
Rob Gronkowski finally had a monster game in Week 6 and it appears that he is finally 100% healthy. We should expect this more often going forward, and you can likely get him at low ownership this week since most people will likely gravitate towards one of the cheap, appealing options in GPPs.

Vernon Davis (WAS) @ DET $4,700

If Jordan Reed is unable to suit up again in Week 7, consider using Vernon Davis for your GPPs. Davis looked good in Week 6 with four targets, two receptions, 50 yards and a touchdown and was on the field for 97% of the Redskins’ offensive snaps. He has a great matchup against the Lions this week who have already allowed seven touchdowns to tight ends this season.

Defense

Eagles (PHI) vs. MIN $4,400

The Patriots will probably be the popular, cheap defense in GPPs. However, the Eagles should be low owned and they have just as much upside, if not more. The Vikings have taken care of the football this season, but their offensive line is not all that great. The Eagles’ strong front seven could present some problems this week, and hopefully rack up some sacks.

Bills (BUF) @ MIA $4,700

The Patriots and the Eagles being so cheap this week, the Bills’ defense may fly under the radar. The Bills’ defense has been great lately scoring double digit FanDuel points in three out of the four previous weeks. They have a great matchup against the Dolphins this week, who have allowed the second-most FanDuel points to opposing defenses this season.
