NFL FanDuel and DraftKings DFS GPP Lineup Advice: Week 10

Welcome to Week 10 of the 2018-19 NFL season. We have flown through the first half of the season and hopefully, everyone has won some money in DFS this year. We have an awesome slate of matchups this week with plenty of bizarre ownership trends. With a lot of great value, paying up should not be an issue. Let’s take a deeper dive into this NFL slate to find some of the best options.

The DailyFantasyNerd FanDuel/Draftkings GPP Plays for Week (put week #)

Quarterbacks

FanDuel

Josh McCown (NYJ) vs. BUF $6,000

Sam Darnold is out with a foot injury, so the Jets will look to Josh McCown this week against the Bills. First of all, this is one of the best matchups in football. Secondly, McCown is dirt cheap and has immense upside with a great receiving corp. Last year, McCown won people the milli-maker because no one ever looks to roster this guy.

DraftKings

Marcus Mariota (TEN) vs. NE $4,700

Simply too cheap, Mariota is worth considering in GPP’s this week, on DraftKings. With most people looking at Patrick Mahomes, Jared Goff, and Aaron Rodgers, I don’t think anyone will look all the way down at the Titans quarterback. Mariota has had a rough first half of the season, no question. However, he is coming off a great game where he threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another. He put up 24.8 DK points against the Dallas defense which is a tougher matchup than the Patriots. At low ownership and a ridiculous price, lock in Mariota for an easy 4X return.

Others to consider: Patrick Mahomes, Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson

Running Backs

FanDuel

Marlon Mack (IND) vs. JAX $7,400

Coming off their bye, Marlon Mack has had some time to rest any nagging injuries. He has been really good since returning Week 6. He has 347 yards and three touchdowns on just 56 attempts. The Jaguars are a tough defense and the matchup is not ideal. That being said, the Colts have improved their offensive line, dramatically and they won’t be able to find a lot of success through the air. Indy will have to utilize the ground game this week and Mack has enough talent to produce a high floor.

DraftKings

David Johnson (ARI) @ KC $6,800

The Cardinals made the wise decision of appointing a new offensive coordinator in week 8, which has helped include David Johnson. At his price, there are few bell cow running backs with as much upside. Arizona will be playing catchup all game long, which will lend to more pass-catching opportunities for DJ. He is one of the most talented players in the NFL and as long as the Cards utilize him, he will score plenty of points.

Others to consider: Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon, Joe Mixon, Adrian Peterson, Ito Smith

Wide Receivers

FanDuel

John Ross (CIN) vs. NO $5,600

A.J. Green is out this week and most will look at Tyler Boyd for salary relief. John Ross is a fantastic pivot, to grab some of those targets from Green. Ross is a former first-round draft pick who has immense talent and is among the fastest players in the NFL. Everyone knows how injury prone Ross is, but the Bengals are coming off a bye and Ross should be good to go in the starting role where he will be leaned on. He should be able to shred this Saints secondary and get loose for a deep touchdown.

DraftKings

Cooper Kupp (LAR) vs. SEA $6,400

Seattle should score enough points in this game to keep the Rams throwing the ball. Kupp is one of the safest wide receivers in fantasy and is Jared Goff’s favorite target. With the majority looking to Todd Gurley, the Rams air attack might go overlooked and specifically Cooper Kupp. Outside of the one game in Denver where he was injured, Kupp has scored at least double digits in every game. He has 40 DraftKings point upside and should come in at less than 10% ownership.

Others to consider: Tyreek Hill, Devante Parker, Josh Gordon, Corey Davis

Tight Ends

FanDuel

Travis Kelce (KC) vs. ARI $8,000

The price is high. It is never easy to pay $8K for a tight end. However, there is plenty of value out there this week. The ownership on Kelce should be down slightly, because of the price and the matchup. Kansas City should steamroll the Cardinals, which will scare people off due to blow-out risk and negative game flow. Here’s the thing, KC will still likely put up over 30 points. Kelce will be involved in the first half of this game, for sure, and has a very good chance of scoring at least one touchdown this week. He is basically a wide receiver one in fantasy and should be treated like it every week.

DraftKings

Jonu Smith (TEN) vs. $2,500

In GPP’s, Jonu Smith is a perfect pairing with Mariota. Again, the price is so cheap on DraftKings. At the minimum price, Smith does not have to do a lot to pay off value. Similar to Mariota, Smith has not had a great season. However, with Mariota finally healthy, in a great matchup, the Titans number one tight end will be less than 5% owned and is just $2,500.

Others to consider: O.J. Howard, Jimmy Graham, Trey Burton, Chris Herndon
