After a successful week 1 which involved nailing my 3 RB picks (Carson 3.2x value, Ingram 3.4x, Cook 3.4x) and my play of the week at TE (Andrews 3.9x value). I’m back to help bring you more success and help your bankroll grow as we will aim for 3x player value on some of the cheaper priced guys in week 2.
Quarterback:
Josh Allen @ NYG ($7,500) – Allen comes into week 2 after a solid 17.96 FDP game on the road against the Jets, last week. This week he will be facing off against their neighbors, the Giants, who rank dead last in the NFL against the pass after the week 1 rout Dak Prescott handed them. Allen showed great chemistry with burner WR John Brown last week and I see more of the same against a poor New York Giants defense.
Ben Roethlisberger vs SEA ($7,600) – Aren’t we used to this by now? Big Ben on the road spells disaster for fantasy output and playing against the Patriots makes it even worse (10.74 FDP last week). But, good news is he almost always bounces back with a monster effort at home in the following week. In week 2, Big Ben and the Steelers host a Seattle defense who allowed Bengals QB Andy Dalton to throw for a week 1 best 418 yards. Look for Roethlisberger to bounce back as he seemingly always does in a big way against the Seahawks who will be traveling coast-to-coast for this match up.
Running Back:
Adrian Peterson vs DAL ($4,800) – Peterson comes in as the cheapest starting RB on the slate after being a healthy scratch last week. With starting RB Derrius Guice going on IR, Peterson once again gets his chance to shine. This time it will be against a good Cowboys defense at home. Although not an ideal match up for AP, 14.4 FDP is good enough to hit 3x value for the future Hall-of-Famer. Peterson should receive the bulk of the carries in this week 2 rivalry game, though it’s likely RB Chris Thompson will fill in during passing situations.
LeSean McCoy @ OAK ($5,800) –Â Shady McCoy made his Chiefs debut last week with 10 carries for 81 yards and also recorded 1 catch for 12 yards. That performance came on very limited time in the new system and was good enough for 9.8 FDP. With another week of practice under his belt, I see McCoy having a bigger role in week 2 against the division rival Raiders.
Sony Michel @ MIA ($6,800) –Â Last week Michel laid a total egg (1.4 FDP) in the blowout against the Steelers. Despite carrying the ball 15 times, he only ended up with 14 total yards. Look for Michel to bounce back in a BIG way against the NFL’s worst team, the Miami Dolphins. New England likely will pound the rock this game and don’t expect Michel to average less than a yard per carry again. Sony is far too talented to not get back on track against this Dolphins defense in week 2.
Wide Reciever:
Ted Ginn Jr. @ LAR ($5,000) –Â Ginn comes into week 2 after posting 13.6 FDP in week 1 (7 catches, 101 yards). QB Drew Brees looked to the speedy veteran often and connected on 100% of his throws to him. Ginn will look to carry over his momentum into the much anticipated NFC Championship game rematch from last year against the Rams. This game has the makings of a shootout and if that is the case, Ted Ginn should have another big day.
Tyrell Williams vs KC ($5,900) –Â Many wondered if Williams could handle the #1 role in Oakland after the departure of WR Antonio Brown. Tyrell stepped up in a BIG way to lead the Raiders to a week 1 victory against the division rival Broncos with 19.5 FDP (6 catches, 105 yards, 1 touchdown). Week 2 presents a much easier match up for Tyrell against a Chiefs defense who struggled heavily last week against Jaguars 6th round rookie QB Gardner Minshew coming off of the bench. Look for Carr to continue to target his new #1 reciever.
Will Fuller vs JAX ($6,100) –Â Fuller was rather quiet in week 1 only being targeted 3 times, but pulled in 2 catches for 69 yards (7.9 FDP). With Jaguars star CB Jalen Ramsey shadowing Texans star WR DeAndre Hopkins, Fuller will have a great opportunity against an otherwise average Jacksonville secondary. Last week, the Jags allowed Kansas City’s #2 receiver Sammy Watkins to haul in 9 catches, 198 yards, and 3 touchdowns. That was good for a leauge’s best 42.3 FDP across all positions. Fuller should have a bounce back week with high “boom” potential.

Tight End:
Evan Engram vs BUF ($6,400) –Â The Giants will be heavily relying on TE Evan Engram and RB Saquon Barkley this week against a talented Bills defense. The Giants have been hit with injuries in their receiving corps. and Engram is the unquestioned #1 option. He led all tight ends last week with 23.1 FDP. He should have even more opportunities this week.
Vernon Davis vs DAL ($5,100) –Â With starting TE Jordan Reed ruled out with (another) concussion, Davis will look to build off his 4 catch, 59 yard, 1 touchdown (13.9 FDP) week 1 performance. He will be tasked with facing one of the NFL’s best linebacking groups in the Dallas Cowboys, but the savvy veteran will likely be the #1 target when the ‘Skins enter the Red Zone. He should receive nearly all snaps at tight end this week with Jeremy Sprinkle as his only reserve.
Defense:
Pittsburgh Steelers vs SEA ($3,500) –Â After giving up 33 points on the road last week in New England, Pittsburgh is primed for a bounce back effort at home. The Steelers have always been a very emotional team and the defense seems to rise the occasion when playing at Heinz Field. Not only will home field advantage play a role, but the Seahawks offense is far less talented then the Patriots team they faced last week. The Steelers defense best quality is stopping the run and that is exactly what Seattle loves to do.
San Fransisco 49ers @ CIN ($3,700) – Heading into week 2, the 49ers rank first in scoring D/ST with 27 FDP. They put it on Tampa Bay QB Jameis Winston last week with 3 interceptions and 2 pick-six’s. This week they will face another QB who many question is a franchise quarterback in Andy Dalton. San Fransisco will look to be aggressive early and often against the Bengals, likely taking advantage of their strong D-line against Cincinnati’s weak O-line.
