Pay Me No Mind
Had a lot of ground to cover for the Pay Me No Mind show’s maiden voyage onto Podbean. In order to cover it all I enlisted the help, opinions and thoughts of Philly native Kil (@kil889). We put in some work!
The topics included: new Eagles coach Doug Pederson, Cam Newton’s career-long criticism gets the spotlight in SB50’s media week, the Golden State Warriors’ supremacy amongst other NBA elite teams, Danny “Swift” Garcia’s championship debut at welterweight… and then we rolled up our sleeves.
The show’s second hour dug into the ongoing #OscarsSoWhite “issue”, Kil’s cynicism about FOX Spotlight’s possible intentions with the Sundance Film Festival’s surprise hit The Birth of a Nation, and lastly we tackled why East coast hip-hop artists continue to fall short of the creativity bar that’s been raised by artists such as California’s Kendrick Lamar and Anderson .Paak.
