Lineup

C – Nick Hundley (SF) (FanDuel: $3,100 / DraftKings: $3,500) – Either Hundley or Buster Posey are a viable catching option playing at Coors field against a lefty. Hundley offers a little bit more salary savings, has familiarity with Coors Field from his days with the Rockies and has homered once in 14 career at-bats against Kyle Freeland.

1B – Ian Desmond (COL) (FanDuel: $3,500 / DraftKings: $3,800) – Desmond has three hits including a homer over his last two games and is 10-for-26 with a pair of long balls of Jeff Samardzija in his career. There are plenty of other Rockies to consider tonight including Charlie Blackmon and David Dahl.

2B – Ozzie Albies (ATL) (FanDuel: $3,900 / DraftKings: $5,100) – Albies has destroyed lefties this season with a .466 wOBA and .344 ISO and will square off against Mets southpaw Steven Matz who has allowed 1.98 HR/9 to righties this year.

SS – Carlos Correa (HOU) (FanDuel: $3,900 / DraftKings: $4,400) – Correa has a career .395 wOBA and .214 wOBA on the road against lefties and will face CC Sabathia who has served up four homers over his last three starts.

3B – Miguel Sano (MIN) (FanDuel: $3,300 / DraftKings: $3,900) – Sano went deep on Monday and has a career .258 ISO against lefties.

OF – J.D. Martinez (BOS) (FanDuel: $4,500 / DraftKings: $5,200) – Martinez is on a home run tear with 12 long balls this month.

OF – Adam Jones (BAL) (FanDuel: $3,200 / DraftKings: $3,600) – Jones has clubbed four homers and posted a .364 average in 44 career at-bats against Jeremy Hellickson.

OF – Scott Schebler (CIN) (FanDuel: $2,900 / DraftKings: $3,500) – Schebler has homered every time he has faced Zack Godley (twice). He might not hit a homer every time he faces him tonight but it will take just one to make him worth is low salary.

Longshot – Robbie Grossman (MIN) (FanDuel: $2,000 / DraftKings: $2,900) – Grossman is dirt cheap and is 6-for-13 with two doubles and a homer off lefty Danny Duffy in his career.

Cheap Pitching options
FanDuel – Luis Castillo ($7,800), Dan Straily ($7,000)
DraftKings – Blake Snell ($10,600) Luis Castillo ($8,000), Dan Straily ($6,400)

The GoingFor2 Live Podcast

Brad Richter

Growing up, I was always intrigued with stats, from the back of baseball, football and basketball cards to playing dice rolling simulation games, while tracking the stats for the players on my team. My fantasy sports obsession began in college running fantasy football leagues with friends and has expanded into playing in both fantasy baseball and fantasy basketball leagues, and most recently Daily Fantasy Sports. I consider myself a “stats guy” by nature and lean on data to back up my advice and analysis of strategy techniques and player evaluations. That said, I have also always felt that sometimes you must go with a gut instinct based on things you have seen watching players play, even when the numbers don’t back it up. I feel that it is this mix of analysis that leads to the most successful formula when competing in fantasy sports.
