Week 15 NFL DFS Spade/Fade(DraftKings)

Welcome to Week 15! This is Spade or Fade for Daily Fantasy. We examine two players that we are endorsing as good plays to include in your lineup. We also give you two players that should be bypassed in favour of a player that has a better matchup for the week. This week features two games that fall on Saturday. We will focus our attention on Sunday’s offerings. Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Rams are games that will likely garner the most attention. Don’t forget about the Thursday nighter’, Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs, the week’s highest combined total of 55. On to our Spades and Fades foe Week 15.

SPADE

Dak Prescott QB DAL

What a difference one player can make on a team. No better example of this than what has transpired since the arrival of wideout Amari Cooper from Oakland . Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are running their offense in perfect harmony right now and it’s time to buy in. Prescott completion percentage has gone from 62.1 to 74.1% since the acquisition of Cooper after Week 8. In six games with Cooper as the number one receiver, Prescott is averaging 285.7 yards per game passing compared to just 202.4 in all the other seven games this season. Prescott has a 100 passer rating in three straight contests, his longest streak since his 2016 rookie campaign. For good measure Prescott has added three rushing scores in his last five games. The Colts feature a middle of the pack defense, but Zeke, Dak, and Amari should be able to move the ball in what could be a high scoring game.

FADE

Kenny Golladay WR DET

Just a few weeks ago, Golladay was one of my Spades. Well, we know what has transpired since Golladay has moved up to the number one receiver on the Lions. Golladay is drawing the opponent’s top corners and this week will be no different. The Buffalo Bills and Tre’Davious White will be the competition. They rank number one against the pass and number one overall in total defense. Last week Golladday put up a stinker with just five yards receiving on two catches when he was matched up against Patrick Peterson and the Arizona Cardinals. No sense in testing the waters against another super cornerback this week. Fade.

SPADE

Rob Gronkowski TE NE

Some semblance of the Gronk we all have been accustomed to know showed up last week against the Miami Dolphins in that crazy, shocker of a game. Those of you who had Gronk in your lineup at $4,800 got a really nice return as he went for over 100 yards receiving and a score netting 27.7 points. This week Gronkowski is priced at $5,800 as the Patriots visit the struggling Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers defense this season has been good to very good but they struggle against tight ends allowing a 117.2 passer rating, seven TD’s with no interceptions. Last week the Steelers fell apart so to speak in a defeat to the lowly Oakland Raiders. Tight end Jared Cook had seven receptions for 116 yards. In his career against the Steelers Gronk has averaged 110 yards receiving in six games. Let’s bank on this being a back-and-forth high scoring game. Spade.

Jameis Winston QB TB

Winston has been a nice option at quarterback to plug in as he usually offers a nice salary savings. This week at $5,600 we are getting a discount, but the price tag is warranted. The Bucs travel to Baltimore to face the number two ranked defense. Winston struggled last week on home turf versus a less formidable New Orleans Saints squad, difficult to imagine he can fair any better on the road here against this defense. The Ravens haven’t allowed a receiving touchdown in the last three weeks. Fade for Winston.
